"If I could, I would give more than 5 stars for this breathtaking riad in the old city Fes. If you are a frequent traveler, you probably have have experienced the catfish aspect of a property posting it's unrealistically beautiful pictures on these platforms. Riad Mazar Fes is the exception. Pictures don't do justice to how beautiful this exceptionally build and meticulously maintained riad. And that is not the best thing about it. "It’s my most favorite Riad in all of Morocco! I doubt I’ll ever find a more wonderful team of people who go above and beyond to make everyone’s stay most enjoyable. Believe me when I say they helped me tremendously. I had a booking snag and they accommodated me without hesitation and helped coordinate my travel back to the airport at 3:30am. The Riad is more beautiful in person. Everything is clean. The customer service is the best. I’ll always return to Riad Joy when I travel to Fez/Fes....

"Beautiful thousand year old Riad, with magnificent very grandiose rooms. It was like living in a beautiful museum. Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely, and the staff was extremely helpful and gracious. They helped arrange an amazing tour guide for us as well, as exploring the Medina on our own would be guaranteed to get us lost in that labyrinth of 9000+ streets. Most importantly it is right next to Bab-Ziat the entryway to the old city, so you can get your taxi to drop you off literally 1...

"We loved the beauty of the Riad courtyard and our room. We also loved the rooftop terrace of the Riad. We had one of our dinners up on the rooftop and we spent quite a bit of time enjoying the view of the medina and city from there. Breakfast was so-so and definitely not even close to one of the best we had compared to most of the other places we stayed in Morocco. The dinners were also not very good compared to other guest houses and restaurants we ate at in Morocco so we wouldn't recommend...

"Lovely Riad! Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. You are offered a tray of mint tea and little snacks when you first arrive and when you come back after a long day in the Medina. "Dar Drissi is lovely. The location is great. We had the family room which has one king bed and 3 singles. An en-suite, large bathroom and a balcony sitting area that looks over the fountain in the main area below. The terrace on the roof is incredible and the breakfast scrumptious. We also had their home cooked dinner was large and delicious. We highly recommend Dar Drissi for your stay in Fes. "

"The room was better than pictured. The lobby was beautiful. The rooftop terrace held a panoramic view of the city. They left a pot of coffee and a thermos in f hot milk at our table- a first in Morocco. Breakfast included a delicious omelet and local breads and spreads. We loved it and wish we had booked a longer stay!"
