Good location over looking the beach and close to all the main areas within the island. The expensive room we booked had a view of a construction site and not the view of the ocean and blue waters we were promised. After complaining we were moved to a smaller/cheaper room. No refund was given on the difference but 2 spa vouchers were. The spa was not good would have rather preferred a refund. The amenities and free water equipment is old (i.e., the kayak is not a kayak but a small boat, snorkeling equipment does not fit due to use and abuse).
Bar waiters at most times are too busy distracted by girls in bikinis to get your order right.
Service was world class. The team tried very hard to please. Manuel is a great leader of this team and he motivates his team to excel in serving customers
Not only is Gili Meno the symbol of paradise and quietness, this unique place tops the experience with nature-like high quality. Never have we encountered such an engaged staff, invested at the individual level in making the guests smile.
I found the front desk staff at times lacked attention to detail and not of a standard of such an expensive resort. Having said that the other staff were brilliant. Very friendly and accommodating. The exact opposite of the front desk.
Building works were ongoing, which meant hanging out at the villa wasnt really an option. Not exactly peaceful. One of the bathrooms also smelt really bad.
The resort was a little cut off and food and drinks as expected were very pricey. Food wasn’t always at a high standard.
Our holiday was ok, however due to the issues above it wasn’t worth the money and I wouldn’t go back,
I guess it was much better place to stay before authorities storm the beach and ripped down private structures. We didnt expect to see construction works around. At least around this hotel. No privacy-people are walking around your tent, stuff are super fast or extremely slow, food -it depends. Overprised place, check the places that are much cheaper. In reality, they look beautiful and nice.
