Great location and view as well as beach access. However, while in the room we kept experiencing feelings of dizziness and nausea, along with headaches. After a while, we called management and informed them we were leaving. They explained there could be no natural gas leak as the facility is all electric. The next day we researched the effects of leaking wall AC unit refrigerant in small areas, and the results listed our exact symptoms. Informed the motel who said their carbon monoxide detectors had passed inspection, but those types of detectors would not detect refrigerant. Anyhow, it just would have been nice of them to at least offer to reimburse us for some or all of the cost of the room.

Had an enjoyable stay. Check-in was very easy: received a text with our room # & lock code prior to arriving. The rooms are basic, no frills, all you need for a short stay: clean, great location, comfy bed, cold A/C & hot shower. Love sitting out on the deck just enjoying the sights & sounds of the lake-but you can only really enjoy it during the day; at night the bugs take over, swarming around all of the lights. You’ll get that anywhere near water. Overall, we had a great time & will be back. Some suggestions for improvement: (1) Parking: we found street parking without problem, but cut down on the complaints by painting the spaces bigger so everyone can fit into their own space. (2-and most important) The stairs leading down to the lower rooms are very unsafe. The rise of the top concrete step is steep & the handrail is too low & short. (Ohio Bldg Code mandates a continuous handrail on both sides that must measure the entire diagonal length of the stairs plus a min.12-inch horizontal extension at the top & a one-tread-depth sloping extension at the bottom.) I nearly fell backwards trying to get my old butt up that step. I did, however, fall on the bottom section of stairs (in pic). The steps & deck being the same color & the bright sun aided in me missing that step & taking a tumble. Simply painting or adding a strip of reflective tape on the nose of the step (like in pic) would help tremendously.

Although the view of Lake Erie from our room was incredible and it is in a great location to the strip and all the local attractions, the maintenance of the room and daily cleaning, supply of coffee, towels etc. never took place. In checking in, we received no information other than key code. Nor did we receive information about shared reciprocity with the Palms, pool and access to other levels of decks in our facility. That we received from another guest. We spoke to other people within our motel area and they all were having the same issues and none of them were satisfied with hotel accommodations. We had to walk a half a mile every morning to get coffee. The current staff maintaining daily chores were very young and it's obvious they weren't given the proper directions on how to maintain the rooms. The air conditioner change filter light was on. We pulled the filter and had to rinse it out in the shower. It was filthy black. Also, the bathroom sink drain was partially plugged, the shower was needing to be thoroughly cleaned, the floors were obviously not scrubbed. The office was never staffed to address any of our concerns. Our neighbor called the number on the door of office and never received a response. Our hopes for this motel are to address these concerns to improve future clientele experiences.

It was a great place to stay, right on the lake. Very friendly staff member that checked us in, he even carried our bags for us! The only thing that would have made it better was if there was a pool on the property, But I would definitely stay there again!!
