Great location close to a lovely beach. The hotel has a lot of character and the room was cozy. The on-site pub has good food too. I did find the mattress too hard and the a/c/heater, which turned on and off continually, noisy and hence disturbed one throughout the night.

My room overlooking the golf course was superb, with the charm of a vintage-style hotel, but with all of the modern amenities. The dining/drinking venues are delightful. And, of course, the whole property has that unique and wonderful historical ambiance and McMenamins whimsy! Great value too, with the off-season pricing at the end of November.

Mcmenimans is always a great place to stay. The overall experience quality is very consistent. The golf course is one of the best in the country, public or private. I am a passport member so was able to continue my journey toward completion!

Great place to stay.

The facility is absolutely beautiful and located next to a golf course. Room was excellently decorated and the wood finishes made it quite attractive. Bar man was exceptional, helpful and friendly. Made the experience unforgettable. Food was very well prepared and flavorful. Overall a great experience.

Mcmenamins Gearhart Hotel was awesome. The hotel is unlike any we have stayed in. Each room is decorated in a quirky manner. The artwork throughout the hotel was very cool as well as the light fixtures. The owner has really taken pride in decorating each bedroom in a unique way. Everything about the hotel was 5 star. If you are in the area you should stay here, you will not be disappointed.

This place is a gem!! Loved the decor, the surroundings were so peaceful and the decorations and rooms are so eclectic and awesome. The bed was comfy and we slept so good. They’ve really paid attention to detail. Finding the secret room was pretty cool. I would definitely stay here again and again and again. LOVED IT

What a nice property with all amenities you need on site. We arrived the day after a major event. I was un aware and staff was still recovering from the onslaught of people the day before. There was some trade off as our service was quite slow but still friendly. Overall a pleasant weekend getaway!

Worth a stay

Always a whimsical experience at their hotels. The shower was extremely clean. The bed was very uncomfortable to me personally...kinda lumpy etc. Room was quiet eventhough there was an adjoining door.The last time I was here they didn't have the annex. It's not great when it's crazy rainy and windy walking from the restaurant to the hotel Annex. The coffee in the morning is great. I would happily stay again and always recommend as I have been to most of the NW Properties in the last 14 years.

I was travel with my dog; they are so welcoming to dogs. t Thank you for that. I'm just not sure what to say about this. The room was cozy, the bed was hard for me. I was in room 204 which was right over the door that went into the kitchen. I'm not sure what I was herring the door and them throwing stuff outside the door or not sure was too lazy to check super tired. Well then it happed the next night... AND A WIED BUZZING NOISE ABOT EVERY 2 TO 3 MIN. I was so tried I fell asleep. So anyone that is a light sleeper would not be able to deal. With that being said the Staff was awesome and the breakfast burrito was delish.
