With the old world charme comes an older, somewhat outdated hotel, HOWEVER, the location is AMAZING and it's adorable and very clean. Right smack in the center of town, surrounded by restaurants, shops, views, etc. Great and ample breakfast buffet. Only small challenge was the digital check-in process as it kept a few of the other travelers also a bit confused... but if you take your time it all works out. Would definitely stay again!

Great property with vintage rooms, giving amazing views of the alps. Property is in the middle of city, 10 meters from the bus stop. They also provided city pass using which we were able to roam around in the local bus for free. Very supportive staff as well

Overall we had a great experience. Stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Staff was cooperating and room was clean. Our only concern was the overhead shower which needs to be fixed and also WiFi doesn’t work properly. Other than this everything was good, check-in was also seamless since we did everything online so we didn’t have to wait for anything.

I was surprised with how nice this hotel was. The reviews were not always good but my experience was fantastic. 2nd story rooms looked newer but in a classic style. I will certainly consider staying here again!

Comfortable apartments

We've stayed here before but never in the apartments. Didn't know they were there. We were very impressed with the amount of space. The rooms are comfortable. Wish we would have had more than one night. Will definitely stay here again the next time in town.

We were in one of the Annex apartments. No A/C so had to keep windows open; noisy bar across street a bit annoying. Don’t think it would be a problem in cooler weather with closed windows and bar patrons inside the bar. But overall great location in center of town. Staff very helpful

We were put in the apartments. It was raining and required walking in rain and difficulty parking. The next day upon checkout we were told we could have stayed in hotel IF I HAD ASKED. Should have been asked by reception!

The apartments are laid out nicely and breakfast was good. The apartment on the top floor of building 7 has no WiFi in most spots--the router seems to be located on the first floor. Also the bathroom didn't have a door (by design). Only one window is reachable and there is no air conditioning, so it got quite warm in there.

Disappointing

I have stayed in this hotel several times beginning in 2009. It used to be a wonderful place, but it has gone down drastically in the last few years. During my recent stay I usually had to wait for someone to show up at the front desk, one time for 20 minutes! This was during hours when the desk was advertised as being manned. There are directions to call a number if no one was at the desk, but no one ever answered. Breakfast was adequate, but it used to be spectacular! The German restaurant has been replaced by a pizzeria. It is quite good, but the German restaurant was really special. I really doubt that I will stay here again. Having said all that, I will give one complement: the staff was very helpful in retrieving an item which I left in a taxi.

It was a little disappointing that there was no one at the check-in and the check-in via code was a little bit of a pain. I wouldn't expect this for the price. That could be better. The room was not very special but okay. Breakfast was good and I would say the best part of the stay.

Personalen löste det med att ta kostnaden för vår frukost på ett café. Bra! Trevligt rum, men slitet badrum. Gick inte stänga dörren till duschen vilket blötte ner hela golvet. Kommer gärna tillbaka!
