The Dutch Bungalow was our most favourite stay in Sri Lanka. It’s a beautiful heritage small boutique hotel in a quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle. The room was large and tastefully decorated. The staff were really lovely and helpful.

The Dutch Bungalow in Galle Fort is perfectly located with easy access to everything in the old town. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff are extremely polite and hospitable, making you feel genuinely welcome throughout your stay. The local Sri Lankan breakfast served in the courtyard was excellent and a real highlight. Highly recommended for a relaxed stay in Galle Fort.

Nice stay in the centre of the fort

Pleasantly surprised, nicely renovated accomodation in the centre of the fort. Breakfast is excellent every morning. Staff are really lovely.

We arrived later than planned and the staff was more than accommodating - he waited for us till shortly before 10pm and checked us in promptly. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka! They also stored our luggage for us when we went out to explore town. The hotel is a heritage Dutch colonial house, and we appreciated the rich history this place preserves.

I did not love my stay here for many reasons. I was supposed to stay at the Dutch Bungalow but the owner has 5 properties at the Fort and overbooked this one to maximize his occupancy at the other properties. I got sent to another property, which was not great, but also not the end of the world. When I arrived my room had no towels because the towels are washed and stored at another property. The breakfast was cold because it gets cooked at yet another property. I am sure that is great for the owner who minimizes his costs but makes for a bad experience for his guests. The people who cleaned my room and carried my luggage were SUPER friendly, but the two ladies who ran the property were intrusive, nosy and not very helpful. The rooms have very old windows with huge gaps in them, which means mosquitos get in, and there is no sound-proofing. Honestly, I would not stay here again.

Leuk verblijf midden in centrum van Galle fort. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk. En hebben voor ons meerdere malen vervoer geregeld. Kamers roken erg muf bij binnenkomst. Kan ook komen doordat het de tropen is. Wat ik jammer vond is dat de witte handdoeken erg verwassen waren. Ze waren totaal niet meer wit. Maar dat is een klein detail. Ik zou deze locatie verder absoluut aanraden.

ゴールフォート内の中では比較的値段が安いので少し心配していましたが、その心配は無用でした。とても清潔な部屋とバスルームで内装もオシャレ。夜は徒歩で買い物や観光もできとても便利な立地。一番感動したのは、ブティックホテルだからこそ出来るスタッフの皆様の心遣いです。旅の途中で大きな絵を購入してしまい、パッキングをする為にダンボールの手配が出来ないかお願いしたところ快く快諾して頂き更にスタッフの方がパッキングまでしてくれました。朝食も適度な量でとても美味しかったです。ゴールの滞在は１泊だけだったのですがもっと滞在すれば良かったと思えるほど、良いホテルでした。
