The pool was not operating or any water in it. The breakfast was fair and a little dry, otherwise ok. The room was exchanged out for a King Room with an operating whirl pool. It wasn’t the same for a pool operation. The manager was kind and tried hard to please. Not the best home to travel. The weather was extremely cold but the room was warm. Next time I would call the facility directly to see if all operations were working. Vending machine out, ice was out and pool closed. Overall the manager let us in 1 day earlier Since severe the only guests there. 5 out of 10 rating.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast options were good and plentiful. Room was clean and all items were in good working order. The bedding appeared slightly worn and needed refreshing. The Stockton option was nearly half the price for the same your would get in Galena and the extra drive is scenic and worth it for the savings.

Parking was fine. Heated pool. What killed it for me was that the card generating machine was apparently broken. So whenever we had to get into our room after leaving for whatever reason we had to find the hotel staff (which was never around). When we walked in after having a great time in Galena we were going to get our card (front counter said the machine would be fixed by 7pm that night, it wasn’t) we were awkwardly standing with a worker lady (might have been the cleaning lady.) with out her shoes on just her socks. And she was struggling to unlock our doors and had to call the manager. Also room 105 does not lock by itself you have to use both manual locks. Very unsafe.

The elevator was not working. Difficulty carrying luggage to second floor. Did not have breakfast. Equipment on second floor was broke. Went nearby to purchase ice. Staff was helpful the best they could and pleasant. This building is old and needs remodeling.

Worth the drive!

Seemed to be very clean. Great view outside of the hotel. Breakfast was above average. Worth the drive to stay here instead of the same chain in Freeport

Staff was helpful on check-in and guided us to a delicious dinner at JJ & Freddie’s! Room was clean, quiet and very comfy beds!! Extra pillows already in the room. The breakfast had so much variety from breads, oatmeal, yogurt, muffins, 4 different cereals, fresh make your self waffles and even a hot section with sausage, eggs and potatoes! 6 kinds of tea & 3 kinds of juices. So clean through out the property including the indoor pool area!!! A must and then the recommendation after check out to the Pit-Stop for lunch. We have fallen in love in the area and can’t wait to visit again!
