In a great location and close to the harbour. We enjoyed our meals in the bar/restaurant. The evening meals were of a good quality. We enjoyed our stay and will probably stay again.
Gairloch harbor very charming and so was the Inn, and dinner was pub style but very delicious whole Cornish sole! Breakfast was basic but ok. Staff very helpful
Decent hotel. The food was good in the evening, though breakfast was a little underwhelming. The rooms are dated and would definitely benefit from a bit of investment, however the staff were extremely helpful and the area is fantastic.
Excellent place! Food was amazing. Everyone working there was considerate and kind. Highly recommend!

Tired and shabby was the overall appearance but in a great location. Evening meal ok and enhanced by our waitress , Danielle. Stay was by no means a disaster but could have been better.
Wonderful property. One of the boys forgot his wallet in his room, the manager mailed it overnight to our hotel a couple days ahead, arrived as expected. No charge to us, service above and beyond. This is a hotel we will stay in again for sure.

Bed super comfy and towels lovely and soft. Decor and space in our particular room not great. Supper food really good, breakfast a little underwhelming. Would have felt nicer to have experienced a few more smiles from some staff

Faulty Towers does West Coast of Scotland!
The name tells the story, an old Inn, with lots of interesting aspects, a seasonal staff group and an excellent location.
If you’re used to corporate banal’ness this is not the place for you. If you want a unique experience in an outstanding location and can live without large TV’s and pumping music this is a lovely place to be based for walks, beaches, mountains and sea trips.
Would we come back - yes we would!
Put aside the slew of “ must fill in” e mails prior to stay ( enough to put many people off) and just chill and enjoy an outstanding location and sleep soundly after clean air, clean skies and not a care in the world!

Great location with cosey pub. Not great room.
Beautiful location across from the old harbour. Great for walks in lovely scenery, cycling and beach. Decent restaurant for dinner. A busy Saturday night and a little understaffed. Breakfast was very disorganized despite having to preorder the night before for a set time. Everyone waited for coffee and food (help yourself buffet) also ran out several times. Seems could be easily fixed with some management and planning.
Room was very outdated, but comfortable and clean.
One of the most expensive accommodations on the 500 mile loop and it did not meet my expectations. Front desk should be a bit more flexible on checking in hours, bathroom was quite small and outdated, also I think the breakfast badly needs improvements. Other than that, lovely people, waitresses at dinner were very nice and the food was quite good.
The building and decor is very tired (circa 1980s), the food was poor and the despite being told that one of the diners was coeliac a meal came out with garlic bread (not gluten free) - so very poor controls in the kitchen.
Staff were friendly but grossly short-staffed. There were long waits to order drinks and to pay for food (whilst food orders were taken at the table in the restaurant, we were then required to go to the bar to pay for the food before it arrived).
Breakfast was appalling. It has to be pre-ordered the night before and "hot food" (including poached eggs) just sit in a warmer until you come down at your designated time.
