"I come to the Heidelberg area often for business, and when I do, I stay at Villa Marstall if at all possible. It is a carefully restored private villa right in the heart of everything, yet on a very quiet street facing the incredibly beautiful Neckar river panorama. The staff is friendly--it feels almost like a really nice B&B--and the breakfasts are delicious. I don't know quite why, but this is one of my favorite stays in all my frequent travels."

"Being right in-front of the church in the old town square was great. Makes wondering around convenient and you feel you can see more as you are nearly always walking distance. The on-site restaurant had wonderful food, and the selection of beer and wine rounded out the evening. I have to say the staff was remarkable. Always so much fun having conversations about how they go through life and to see their impressions of America. Would highly recommend as the place to stay."

(We took her up on her recommendation and would recommend it to anyone who liked Italian cuisine. ) Our room was easy to find. We had booked a family room with a king size bed and a sofa bed for our child. It was a very big space with high ceilings. Upon entering our room we found some complimentary sweets on the side, with a welcome note and a cute little NH branded rubber duck on the sofa bed which my child adored. The room was very clean. There was ample hanging space in the built in wardrobe, a mini bar, a safe, a coffee machine and a TV. The bathroom was in very good condition and also clean. There was a selection of complimentary shampoo etc. and a hair dryer. Great water pressure. There is complimentary WiFi and you access further hotel info via a QR code. We booked with breakfast. The breakfast buffet selection was amazing. There were also an array of vegan and veggie food. All fresh, croissants crisp, warm food fresh and warm. The staff check on you and the food all the time. Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had and we’ve now booked to stay at another NH hotel in Brussels and joined the NH loyalty program. (It was that great a hotel experience indeed!) Highly recommend. "
