Well situated in Funchal. We found it a straightforward walk into the city centre and near to the airport bus stop. Friendly and helpful staff. Small swimming pool on roof which helped cooling off after our levada walks.

Lovely

Lovely little hotel, very helpful and friendly. The only thing that would stop me going back in the hotter months is the lack of air conditioning - not a problem in January but it would be later in the year.

The young woman with a big smile at reception was most helpful , I tried to minimize work for the lovely lady cleaning , one day I had an ants problem and in cleaning it the management decided as i was alone take the extra towel although I did not ask for room cleaning every day . I bought another one - the male gent at reception was brusque and gave me incorrect information regarding buses the day I left - very surley . In general one would feel Madiera has been over exposed to tourists and doesn't need to try at this basic level ... which is a pity as for the most part the Island depends on it .

Comoda vicina sl centro, possibilità di parcheggio, personale gentilissimo; camere pulite ma arredamento e bagno datati (sono comparse a più riprese numerose piccole formiche dal battiscopa sia in camera che in bagno), vasca con getto doccia piuttosto scomodo senza aerazione in bagno; la colazione, di cui si poteva usufruire in ristorante bar adiacente convenzionato, di qualità scadente anche se economica (dopo il primo giorno abbiamo sempre fatto colazione fuori hotel)

I cannot fault this hotel for the price I paid. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. I didn’t use the facilities so I can’t say much but the roof top was never shaded and the restaurant always looked busy. Check in and check out was swift and staff were nice. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, would definitely stay again.

Great location -the hotel is a bit run down though

The hotel is not in a great condition. There was water dripping into a bucket in the receptions lavatory. The first evening I found 30 ants in my sandwich in my room. My tooth brush had five ants in it(!) and the bathroom sink was crawling with ants. The hotels location is fantastic - very central with an ocean view and a beautiful park a block away. The view from the roof top pool is great: Selfie location :-) Most of the receptionists were very polite and helpful.

Quick stay before ferry to Porto Santo

Great price, good location right on a street with loads of pubs d restaurant, short walk to the harbour. Very loud street noise from outside. Everything is extra in hotel, €10 for the remote in room, no towel for pool but for the price it is great value.

What it says on the can, good location, for me.

Other callers have whinged about ants (formigha) on balcony, getting into room. Appears this is well under chemical control. Anyway ants were there before humans reached the island. Everywhere kept scrupulously clean, usual Madeira standards. My only annoyance was the proliferation of Don't Do This/That signs. Really, if someone is inclined to wipe his boots with a towel, is a stupid sign likely to alter that inclination?

Nos dieron una habitación muy amplia con una gran terraza. En la limpieza diaria no aspiraban la moqueta y no te cambiaban las toallas que tenías por la habitación colgadas secándose , en el baño solo ponían jabón en pastillas, en la mini cocina no había ni un triste trapo o estropajo para limpiar, ni tampoco Fairy ni nada del tipo sal, azúcar. El desayuno buffet un engaño, no había nada!! Solo había yogures, pan (que no se podía tostar) , jamón de York y queso de tranchetes. La leche te la ponían individualmente en la mesa, y no había fruta, ni ningún tipo de dulce, ni galletas...

un petit hotel tres bien situé ... 10 minutes à pied du centre ville, 3 minutes des centres de plongés et la mer, vue sur mer possible; des restaurants partout, des petites boutiques aussi.... personnel à l'écoute, merci Claudia à la réception qui fera tout pour vous..... les moquettes dans les chambres sont un peu défraichies, mais les équipements de la chambres sont bien là: kitchenette, TV cable, balcon.. seul bémol les chambres sur rue un peu bruyante

Struttura molto comoda vicino al centro e a tutti i servizi. Monolocale spazioso, con angolo cottura. Personale cordiale, unica pecca forse un po' datato l'immobile e l'aria condizionata che era assente. In ogni caso per una giovane coppia è veramente l'ideale perché sei in centro a piedi oppure ti puoi spostare comodamente con i mezzi o con l'auto a noleggio puoi raggiungere le principali mete senza fare lunghe distanze perché essendo a funchal come posizione è strategica e centrale rispetto ad altre città più piccole dell'isola.

Prettig personeel. Schoon en continue wifi. Goed uitgerust appartement met balkon. Minpunt: wel voorziening maar erg klein keukentje, was wat behelpen. Nergens ophanghaakjes bv in badkamer. Verder erg tevreden. Goede bedden etc.
