"We were given an accessible room we did not ask for, and the water from the shower was not contained; room smell was overwhelming (deodorizer/stale); loud noises from floor above interrupted sleep; safe did not work; "

"It took four different rooms to find one that didn't have this horrible extremely strong smell. We had to open the window in the first room and then our sinuses burned and started coughing bad. I complained to the front desk and they had me check out three other rooms and the last room was the one we were finally able to accept even the girl said it's very strong smell and thought maybe it was a room deodorizer but it was not. We will never be able to stay at a candlewood again because she said that all places have that smell terrible and I'm sure poisonous. "

"Clean rooms. Staff was constantly communicating and was very open to helping out. Window screens in my cabin werent working and they fixed it in the time frame I requested. You get a radio/bluetooth speakers, pans, pots, plates, spoons and fire wood. There is a conveniece store half a mile away that has veggies, rice, snacks etc in case you forgot something. Definitely one of the best places to disconnect and relax in nature"

"Breakfast was great, eggs cooked well, sausage and ham, biscuits, sausage gravy, waffles cereal grits to make yourself. Bread individually wrapped, muffins in wrapper bottoms - very hygienic. Good selection. Check-in was a little long. New hire was extremely sweet and gracious and apologetic when she didn’t know how to check us in. Her 2 co-workers were not very attentive. Key card wasn’t working which took even longer. Probably since it’s right off the highway, parking lot was LINED with trucks overnight. Returning late, had to park farther than we’d like. Appreciated the size of room and couch. Would not stay here again or recommend. Too many other better options. "

"The first thing I saw when I opened the bathroom was a fat black fly on the toilet. It was an awful first impression and immediately made me question the cleanliness and upkeep of the room. A guest should be able to walk into a bathroom and feel that it is clean and sanitary, but that was not my experience. The fact that this happened before summer made it even more concerning and left me with little confidence in the property’s standards."
