"Overall a nice hotel highlighted by Bri on reception and many other helpful and friendly staff. Their was no TV remote (should have been checked I think by house staff) however the staff did all they could to find another and sort the problem. Our family room had lots of space and everything was clean. Breakfaat was good as were the facilities of pool, sauna, jacuzzi. "The hotel was clean,fresh & modern looking with excellent facilities. Comfortable beds & pillows. Was a little bit too hot in room & you couldn't open the windows any further due to the restraint at the bottom of the window. Some sort of air conditioning or fan would be nice especially n the room during the hot summer days as it's difficult to get off to sleep in the heat.The staff are all helpful & very pleasant. "Lovely, well maintained Victorian building with staff who go the extra mile to be welcoming and helpful. Parking is available though limited. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with roomy en-suite baths. There is a lot of traffic on the nearby roads, so bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise."

"This place is quaint but not super welcoming. The cottage was cute but not the comfiest beds. We didn’t get a code to check in and didn’t realise the reception would be unmanned. The continental breakfast was a bit odd - self service without clear instructions. Wasn’t all put out at 8am and then a girl came and brought some more things. Had to make our own coffee. "

"Liked the garden, but it needs a little C&A... Disabled car parking near to our room (No.5) was an excellent bonus. Breakfast was excellent but a bit expensive. Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred. We will certainly be recomending the Lion to our friends and relations and using you again next time we are in the area.
