"Comfortable room with excellent tea making supplies - and a good sized mug each! The floor fan was useful as it was very warm. The hotel kindly allowed a later check out with a prompt and polite response to our request. Check in was efficient and simple. The evening meal was superb - great value and the pavlova! Wow! Chef’s kiss! All in all - a beautiful historic building and a really enjoyable stay. We will return I am sure. "

We stayed in one of the garden rooms which was gorgeous, and would be even nicer when warmer as each has a little table and chairs in front - the room had everything you could want v spacious and gorgeous Temple Spa bathroom products, and a lovely touch was the complimentary bottle of Copper House gin ;) lovely meal in the restaurant and delicious breakfast. "The room was very clean and warm comfortable the only problem we had was the shower wasn’t hot but Luke warm it was late when we had are shower so couldn’t mention it and we were there for one night. In the morning when we had breakfast we did mention this issue. The staff member that looked after us for breakfast was lovely made sure we had everything the cooked breakfast was lovely her name was iessie she was amazing would differently come again this is our second visit in a year.. "

"Lovely hosts and a very generous cooked breakfast with quality ingredients and big pot of tea plus lots of toast! Room was very spacious and comfortable with a balcony for warmer weather - lovely views to the other side. Decor is somewhat dated and bathroom could do with update but everything scrupulously clean, loads of hot water and everything very comfortable. Could not have asked for more."

"Third time booking this hotel. Always lovely, clean, warm (radiators are always on before you arrive so the room is lovely and warm to get easy in). A lovely lady from concierge called me today to confirm my booking and ensure we had the details for the contactless check-in (access codes for the front door and key box) as we were due to arrive after she had left. Super friendly and welcoming. Room is lovely and clean, large comfy bed, clean bathroom and shower and even a space for cooking...

"We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. "
