My friend was visiting from Australia. Southern Charm Bed and Breakfast did a great job of giving her a taste of friendly Texas. The food was yummy and we enjoyed visiting w/ the owners at breakfast. It was a great stay in a comfy clean room. We liked being able to walk to Main Street, also.

Just ok, don't have big expectations
Not a fan, wouldn't stay again. Stayed in the Alden Haus, suite 2. Room was clean, bed was pretty comfortable, bring a fan or something for sound because it is eerily quite at night plus you can hear the people in the other room (we could even hear them use the bathroom). They need better curtains, if your light is on when it's dark congrats everyone can see clear into your room! Hot tub area needs to be cleaned, I get it's an closed in area outside but it wouldn't hurt to dust or sweep it out before guests come. Breakfast on the weekend but you have no idea on how to get it. You get a code to get in your room & that's it. It's not like it'd be hard to make a pamphlet with info to leave in the room since you never see anyone. Claim to be a bed & breakfast (on weekends) I shouldn't have to chase you down for info. Dissatisfied, not worth the money we paid.
The property itself was clean, quiet, and very cute. We were able to park and walk to Main St. where all the shopping is. The owners were wonderful and made us breakfast every morning that was delicious!!! Will be booking again!!!
The curb appeal is nice, but there was no evidence the room had been sanitized. The bath mats looked dirty, the hardwood floors were nasty and the TV and Wifi were sketchy. There were no luggage racks and lighting was very dim. There is no place to put anything in the bathroom.

The Good: This property has a lovely front entrance with beautiful landscaping. It is also close to the shops. The owners are kind.
The Not-So-Good: While we were comfortable in Clara’s cabin, we didn’t feel it was worth the price. Keep in mind this is not part of the main house, it’s a cabin situated behind it. I cannot speak on the accommodations in the main house. This part of the property backs up to a large gas station and we saw someone jumping our fence to cut-through. There are even cinder blocks pushed up to the fence for assistance. The breakfast was not very good. We opted to eat somewhere else on our second morning.
Overall, I don’t think this place was terrible, just not worth the price. And, again, this review was for Clara’s Cabin, not the main house.
We stayed in Clara's Cabin. It was adorable. We had our own parking spot right outside the cabin area. The cabin has its own enclosed area with a hot tub, so we felt like we had privacy. It was wonderful!
The hosts had lots of stories to tell and made wonderful breakfasts!
We loved that we had half the house to ourselves with the Victorian Suite. It is a beautiful historical home. But it could use some TLC and updating. Wifi would have been nice to have, I didn’t get great phone service in the room which was a little annoying as I kept trying to check in on my kids during the trip but my service was in and out. The TV and cable kept malfunctioning, so my husband finally unplugged the cable box then it was fine. Granted, we didn’t use the tv that much. We were really excited to have a private hot tub. Although, there should maybe be some motion detector lights out there as it was really dark walk to get to the hot tub. We got to the spa room we were disappointed that the room didn’t have curtains for privacy like the photos show and it was a little dirty, there were quite a few webs. And the hot tub cover should probably be replaced, when we took it off it had mold all over the bottom of it. Other than that, we really did enjoy this B&B, it was nice of them to provide us with breakfast vouchers to a few places on Main. This place had plenty of towels and pretty much anything we needed for our stay. We would absolutely stay here again.

BED, not a Bed & Breakfast
The Sienna room was tiny. No one seemed to be there except us. We shared a thin wall with another room, but no one was there thankfully. The door to the hallway (marked private) has a 1" gap underneath. We had no control of the temperature in our room, and it got too hot. The bed was waaaay too soft - no good sleeping for us those 2 nights. For a "bed & breakfast", there was no breakfast. There were $8 vouchers, for 4 restaurants. One wasn't open for breakfast, 2 others were closed while we were there. So just a "Bed". The pictures on the website and Hotels.com were of the Victorian and the Cottage out back apparently. Ours was not impressive, with no particular "Southern Charm". The other rooms looked great, with more space and nice bathrooms. The pictures of the sunroom for breakfast, the outside hot-tub, and garden looked great. But there was no outside hot-tub, an outbuilding with a hot-tub was locked and not available to us lower-classed guests who didn't pay extra for the cottage or Victorian room, and the sunroom was closed still for COVID.
May have been an excellent B&B for some, but misleading if the website and Hotels.com cannot make it obvious that no breakfast is served, the facilities are limited and some not available to ALL guests, and that the pictures of the rooms are NOT the available Sienna room, which was all we could get. We left a cabin just outside of town that was rustic but awesome, to try an in-town B&B. Won't make that mistake again.
It was very nice. The hosts were wonderful/friendly. Cottage was charming but a little small for us, so we weren't as comfortable as we like, but not the fault of the hosts. The bench on the porch was lovely to sit on in the afternoon with a glass of wine. The TV choice was good because it was streaming meaning we could call up a show or a movie at our leisure. No breakfast currently due to COVID but they have coupons which help greatly. Would definitely go back, but probably opt for their larger suite.
Charming location and room but the bed did not have enough support bars and it was like 2 people sleeping in a hammock. NO INTERNET. Very noisy from street and next room.
This was a cozy place within a short drive (or doable walk depending on the weather) from the heart of town. The negatives: There is no wifi. (This was a mild incovenience for us as our phones lack unlimited data.) We were disappointed to discover that this bed and breakfast is sans in house breakfast on weekdays (everyday with covid) but gave vouchers for 4 places in town instead. We were looking forward to that homey vibe. I also have many food intolerances. Having to use these vouchers made it more difficult to find a place both with food I can eat and within the price range. The positives: Other than the coziness and proximity to town, the room was clean, the bed was comfy (especially the pillows), and bath linens were plush. The TV had decent cable.
Our stay was wonderful. The cottage was cosy, clean and the linens were soft and the towels were fluffy. Over all it was a good experience.

Quaint bed and breakfast. Communication with landlord as polite. No parking except for street parking in front of house. The bed was extremely soft and you sunk in when you laid in it. The walls are thin and you can hear the other occupants in the house. The house has wooden floors that creaked a lot, but gave it that old warm feeling. The bathroom was well furnished. Although no breakfas due to Covid, Vouchers were provided.
We stayed in the Sienna Suite which was very cozy, clean and spacious despite the pictures making it look extremely small. With COVID going on, there was no breakfast in the commons area, however, the host provided a continental breakfast which was left in our fridge. Very much appreciated.
Cozy bed and breakfast, conveniently located near the shops in Fredericksburg. We stayed in the Sienna Suite. Bathroom is tiny but functional. Everything was very clean. Unfortunately, we only had ½ a roll of toilet paper. When I requested more, none was supplied until the next day when we were checking-out. Also, guests are not able to control their own temperature in the bedroom. It was cold when we stayed in December. I would suggest supplying a portable heater. Exceptional homemade breakfast.
