Creag Mhor Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Staying at Creag Mhor Lodge is like a trip to a 1920's murder mystery novel. I expected Poirot to step into the well-appointed lounge at any minute. Dinner is casual and served in the lounge, which is just so relaxing. The staff is amazing; they even call you by name. Our room was charming and exquisitely comfortable. My spouse and I even enjoyed the twin beds. (Did I mention the 1920's?) Our plans were to hike, hike, hike, but we couldn't resist heading back to the lodge early to sit outside an watch the view of the loch, then curl up with books in the super comfy chairs in our room. My only complaint is that the radiator, against which my bed abutted, turned on at 4:00 am during a heat wave, despite Angela ensuring me she would turn it off. Definitely not a deal breaker, though."

The Caledonian Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Unbelievably helpful staff when I had a problem with my car in the car park. Don't let the exterior deceive you - the room was lovely with a fantastic shower and the views are gorgeous. Would definitely recommend and stay again"

Ben View Guest House

"Very comfortable property with great staff. Close to town, so could walk everywhere. Breakfast was also good. Onsite car parking made life easy. Happy to recommend anytime."

Ben Nevis Hotel & Leisure Club
8/10 Good
"I really liked this hotel. I was travelling alone and felt safe and comfortable. Really nice breakfast, parking was convenient. The best bit were the staff, I had a huge backpack, they saw me coming and opened a different door so I didn’t have to struggle through the rotating door. Really friendly and kind, answered my questions. Would book again."

Linnhe Lochside Holidays

Onich Hotel

"It was a beautiful cabin that we stayed."

Maclean Guest House
10/10 Excellent
"This was a great find only a 5 minute walk to restaurants and a grocery store. The room had ample space for the two of us including a small refrigerator which is nice. The bathroom and shower were also in pristine condition. At the front they had some disposable utensils if you needs them and the parking lot was also a nice freebie."

UHI Fort William – Campus Accommodation

"The Receptionist/Security man was very helpful. I as well as some others, were delayed by a road accident and was late arriving, and very tired. He was most sympathetic and supportive."

The Lodge on the Loch by OYO
8/10 Good
"This place is a mix of good and bad, In general, the good significantly outweighs any bad we had. Bad: The place needs a decorating overhaul. Everything is a bit outdated and the walls have not be painted well. There were several instances of paint on handles etc and patchy painted area as well. For our room anyway, to have a shower was a little tricky as it's in a bath (jacuzzi actually) with no shower screen, so you had to hold the shower head and try not to get the water everywhere. The breakfast was only OK - have had better and also had worse. Although there were items to select, they were sparse and not overly warm. You have to pay £13.50 extra each for it. We had an evening meal there as well. It was rather expensive for what it was. Certainly for that price, we weren't expecting the likely use of frozen mixed veg. Good; The obvious good was the absolutely stunning view of the lake and mountains from the bedroom window. The room itself was huge (even though it was called a compact twin) and included 2 easy chairs from which you could sit and drink in the views. The beds were very comfortable and the heavy curtain made for a good black out, So got a good night. Overall, there are things that need to be improved but we were so happy with the room size and view that we simply didn't care too much about the rest. I think they rely on this. Note: you can also find a little stony beach just 50m from the hotel from which I took some great photos and of the sunset."
