"What did we like? Here goes..warm welcome, clear information on breakfast and room details. Although this looks like an old hotel it I assume it has had a lot of money spent on upgrades to retain "Ye Olde" feel to it. Room was not massive but very well decorated with lovely solid sleigh bed. En-suite was very up to date with nice shower and endless hot water. Tiled floor but underfloor heating so not getting back in to bed with ice cold feet after a 3am loo trip. Sockets at bed side tables...

"We were there during the weekend when the town held a special event about mountain bike. Luckily, the hotel was out of the city centre, so the night was peaceful and quiet. The room was spacious. Only one particularly dislike was that from the bathroom window, the afternoon sun was so strong that we could have got sunburn sitting on the toilet. And there was no curtain on bathroom window. Well, it was a very unusually sunny that day. "

"Room, restaurant / bar and staff were great.We had a late check-in and we’d notified the hotel ahead of time so everything went smoothly. Please note there’s no check-in after 10p though so plan accordingly. The food was top notch and the location is central to a lot of great spots in the Highlands. "We had two rooms for our family and they were both very comfortable. Nice hot showers, good heating, and very clean. We also had both our breakfasts and dinners in their restaurant for two days and they were excellent. We had a variety of dietary needs and everyone had delicious choices. Excellent service, food and ambiance. Overall we would highly recommend a stay!"
