  • Glass Beach is a beach in MacKerricher State Park near Fort Bragg, California, that is abundant in sea glass created from years of dumping garbage into an area of coastline near the northern part of the town. Once upon a time the sand was coated in brightly colored bits of sea glass, and social media is full of photos that make it look as if the sand still looks that way, but that isn't the case. Over the years the public has raided the beach of much of its glass. Now at first look, some might say it looks like any other ordinary beach. Yes you can still find glass here, but you have to look for it, and most of colored glass is long gone. It all makes for a fun little treasure hunt however! We loved this motel! Pet friendly, which was very important to us because we have a fur baby who comes with us everywhere! Staff was really friendly and motel was very clean. We had a great experience! We definitely recommend!

The room was clean and tidy, and I was happy that the pillows actually supported my head and neck. If you're particular about shampoo and conditioner, I would highly suggest you bring your own. I like that this lodging is so close to the ocean and I could enjoy the view from the room. It's also nice to have access to the promenade and the Pudding Creek Trestle bridge. Overall a wonderful stay in Fort Bragg.

We loved our time at Beachcomber! Staff was welcoming and our pups loved the direct access to trails, dog park, and beach. Did have to drive to all meals but it wasn’t far and was well with a trip into town.
