"The hotel itself is very nice, clean and well done. When we checked in, there was an issue with the a/c unit and instead of giving us a room that had a working ac, we found out the entire 2nd floor was without ac. We checked in late and they could've put us on a different floor but I think miscommunication with staff made the problems worse. No fans were avail either so we spent the night drenched in sweat. Breakfast was free and was excellent, laundry facilities were excellent, Parking however IS an issue at this place. Keep in mind everything closes early so trying to get a meal at a restaurant after 8 pm is not possible. We stayed two nights, spoke to the manager about the issues and they gave us 10,000 points to our membership with a written apology explaining the situation which I appreciated. Hotel needs to do a better job of informing front desk staff on issues so they know what to tell us when theres a problem. Not kept us waiting for over 2 hours to find out no fans were available. Nor was it a good idea to tell us to park in a handicap spot and then call us late at night to move the car. Proper communication is necessary for any hospitality operation to work"

"Angus is in the centre of it all: restaurants, shopping, grocery, friendly staff and locals. It is true Scotland. And why come to Scotland unless you are there to experience the culture and the people both of whom are the some of the best in the world. If you want a good local experience, stay at Angus. They will not disappoint."

"Staff of hotel and restaurant are exceptionally helpful and pleasant, as well as flexible. The location is also really perfect, with short walks to the river in one direction and all the pubs and restaurants you need in the other. Rooms are very comfortable. The only downside is that one pub under the hotel had loud live music on Saturday night that was very audible in my room. It was a nice selection and if I hadn't needed to be up very early the next morning, I might have gone to the pub to listen. It went to well after midnight. But, earplugs were pretty much enough to address the problem."

"There are several reasons why rhis hotel gets 5* from us:- The staff are simply superb. They are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They personalise their interactions and, are a credit to the hotel. The food in the restaurant (although expensive) is delicious and beautifully presented. The setting and scenery are just stunning - the riverside walks and the beautiful gardens are delightful. We will be back. Thank you"
