"Even the hotel says The New Oakes, the washroom needs an overhaul. Vents are not clean. Ceiling had stains. Floor was sticky. Yes, view from the room was excellent but for the amount of money they charge, one expects a top notch room condition. Parking was too expensive, $50 overnight and it is not even 24 hours of duration. "

"I have been to Americana a few times before however this time was a little disappointing considering how much we paid for the night. We were there for a dance competition, stayed one night. The washroom on the main floor stunk so bad like diarrhea. As other reviewers have said there are no toiletries at all. The pool was cold so I couldn't use it at all. I previously enjoyed the pool because it is not level but I couldn't with frigid water temperatures so just used the hot tub. Not worth the $357 CAD i paid for the night and i would say more enjoyable for families with small kids. Would be nice if it also had fitness centre."

"We stayed at Doubletree Fallsview for our wedding anniversary, it is the first time we were visiting Canada. We were given a room on the 19th floor with beautiful views of the falls. Our room was nice and spacious and so was the bathroom, there was daily room service. We had a wonderful time at the hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is staying at Niagara region. There is a pool, jacuzzi and sauna, as well as spa facilities which can be booked. Everything is so nice here and if I had to mention one thing it would be for the pool to be a bit warmer. The location is central to all the shops and attractions. Overall, we had a great time, thank you Doubletree fallsview for a lovely time and making our anniversary so special for us."

"Booked the hotel for a weekend getaway with my wife - were actually upgraded when checking in and was a nice , clean room overlooking the Clifton hill and falls. Parking was a little confusing as the $15 per day was offsite but it wasn’t far from the hotel. Was close to all the touristy stuff and some great restaurants. Overall it was a great experience and would stay again."

"Our room wasn’t vaccumed. There was a dirty shirt behind the bed. And the one bed was broken in the past and they used 3 pieces of angle iron and plywood to “fix” it, the angle iron was sticking out the side by about 6” and my self and several of my party have been cut, scratched, and bruised by it. I had to put my sandals over them to avoid anyone getting hurt if walked into them again. Also the cleaner left a dirty rag on the steps of the bunk bed "
