What an unexpected treasure! The Mantissa is a beautiful property, ideally located in quaint downtown Hartsville close to shopping and dining. Great area to walk, or enjoy the YMCA across the street. The rooms are huge, but comfortable and well appointed. Worth going a bit out of your way!

Charming and Comfortable.

Very nice hotel in a quaint setting. Charming and comfortable, it was a nice surprise in Hartsville while visiting nearby Coker University. I would absolutely stay here anytime I am in the area.

The property is well maintained and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Customer service top tier. The room I was in 209 was extremely dusty I was sneezing half the day until I cleaned it up myself. It appeared no one was in the room in a while. I wished I could upload pictures. Other than that we had a pleasant stay. Very convenient location, food in walking distance. Rooftop bar is an added bonus with live entertainment on some days.

First “Boutique” Hotel Experience

Very nice modern internal, but historic feel to the hotel and area. Friendly staff, very clean room and very convenient to local shops in Historic Downtown Hartsville. This was a family trip for an “unofficial” family reunion and the hotel room almost felt like “home away from home” the two nights we stayed.

Cute Downtown Brick Hotel

The place was beautiful! The staff was so very friendly and kind. The rooftop bar was a plus. I highly recommend this to anyone in or around the area.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Easy access to all of hartsville. Sleep number beds (they work but you have to figure it out). Staff was so wonderful. Will definitely stay here again

Comfy stay

The mantissa was a very comfortable place to stay. The shower is my favorite. The bed was good, but I suggest the front desk tell you how to use the controls so you can be comfortable. My first night was awful because I didn’t know how to adjust the bed.
