"Charming but in need of updating. Peaceful area and a nice hour's stroll (or less) into the attached Manor Park and its lovely pinetum. It was very muddy and boggy in the park in February, wellies are a must! Our room (12) was classed as a 'superior' but I don't think that was warranted. "Free parking is always nice. Breakfast was good. Rooms are dated with small tv screens. Pool is small and only given 30 mins slots."

"On opening our room door my wife and I thought nice, however after a while we decided it was not as nice as we thought, lots of cobwebs and cracks in the walls a refurbished is needed. We both had little sleep as in the early hours of the night we heard loud drilling noise as if someone was working nearby. The breakfast was nothing to write home about everything was put on the plate so your toast became soggy and only the middle was buttered, service was poor."

"The hotel looked very dull on the outside but from the moment we walked through the door it was lovely. The foyer is comfy and welcoming, the staff were all friendly and helpful, our room was cosy, clean and had great air con. Breakfast was really nicely laid out and a good variety of hot and cold foods. We were very happy with our stay. "

"Hotel is suitable for a stay prior to an early flight. We only used the room and there are some things that appear dated and tired. The air con could be better - it only made noise rather than produce any air, and the shower screen was misaligned which meant the bathroom floor flooded a little. But it was fine for the price we paid for the room and its purpose. "

"Staff were lovely and breakfast was well cooked. Surprised it was a buffet breakfast. We had a really good rate so absolutely no complaints. It was starting to look a little tired, with build up in the corners of the bathroom around the shower, and chips in the walls and paintwork of our room. The view on the top floor is lovely and made for a nice touch to visiting family where I’d originally grown up."

"The breakfast wasnt great but the staff were friendly. The air conditioning was working but i felt the room was a bit cold for my liking but the staff did turn on the heating but if just wasn't hot enough for me. However both the room & its surroundings were beautiful! "

"Terrible experience neighbour knocking on thin walls no tv or music but still caused upset in stay as walked into room once knocked door and asked when leaving hotel? Everyone paid for room invasion of privacy and I’m single mum with 6 yr old in room. No security or cameras to verify just friend few doors away called reception."
