"Hotel was clean and nice. It was unfortunate that a water main broke in the area so we woke up to not being able to flush the toilet or running water in the sink. While that isn’t at all the fault of the hotel, we weren’t notified of the issue. My husband and I were taking a staycation and slept in the morning. And there was no phone call to the room etc. letting us know there wasn’t any water. Once we discovered it, our phone call to the front desk went unanswered. Because we don’t live far we opted to cut our hotel stay short and head home. We were told we had to contact Expedia to cancel so I sat and did, without being upset with the staff like others patrons were. All to find out I somehow paid the hotel directly and didn’t need to contact customer service. Once I was made aware I check out. Can’t say the staff was friendly but I guess they assumed I would be rude and gave a dry response. Again, while it definitely wasn’t their fault, I did expect a much warmer reception as I was understanding and not combative like other customers. "
