"Everything 5 stars again. The hotel is getting a full re-fit ...I spoke to the owner and they are going to re-store The New President to the way it was originally when it first got built😎😎😎 That's me stayed at The New President now 10 times. Kitchen and Waiting staff excellent again. Martin,Phillip and Ian in the dining room done a great job again,nothing too much. Colin the night porter ,nothing too much,anything you needed he would organize🌞☀️🌞 Roast Pork ........Wednesday Roast Chicken and Roast Beef Thursday. £17.50 for 3 courses including fruit juice. Starter,Main and Dessert. The President is slowly getting back to the way it was in it's hey day. A+A+A+.....Magnificent Family Hotel."

"Great friendly receptionist on arrival, easy check-in, room spacious, clean and had everything you could want, breakfast was delicious! Great choice and piping hot! Would definitely recommend the Imperial and will be staying again."

"Tired, dirty and cramped. Online check in pointless, you still have to join the massive queue. Half the 'attractions' of the hotel shut. No ironing board or iron in room, you have to pay DESPITE THIS BEING ADVERTISED AS COMING WITH THE ROOM. Bed was acceptable... A bit lumpy and some questionable hairs. Room was tired, drawers broken, window handle broken, bathroom was dirty and stunk of drains whenever you used the sink. Blood stains on the wall, suspicious stains on the chair at the end of the bed........ When getting back approx 10:30pm we were greeted by 4 police vans outside the hotel, screaming and shouting late into the night - oh and I could hear everything the couple next door were up to. Real classy, doubt it was that good. Never again... "

"The rooms are clean and comfortable. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the pillows. Some areas could use a bit of paint to rejuvenate them. Special mention to Gaz in the Starbucks. He’s exceptional and always remembers your order. Little things like that create goodwill."

"Staff lovely and accommodating, room was spacious, lovely view of the river, comfy bed and clean fresh bathroom. Had a lovely evening meal in the sun by the river, and breakfast was great. And all for a very reasonable price, would definitely stay again"

"Varied choice for breakfast, although hot food was cheap, overcooked and cold on the servery. Rooms were dated and unclean, sleeping on a park bench would have been more comfortable than the bed provided! We arrived late (after 10pm) had to pay for 24 hour parking permit, not listed as a requirment and when asked if we could stay past the 10am check out was told could be arranged at £15 per hour for up to 2 hours! Ammenities such as the pool, sauna, etc were actually closed, (opening hours are between 9am -3pm!) Hotel is in dire need of some maintenance, a lick of paint would do wonders! The old woman on reception was rude and arrogant especially when asking about staying later, but when I pointed out the data breach, giving me a door card in a stapled envelope showing details of a previous guest (name, telephone no, address, email, etc) she wasnt bothered! Shall not be back, ever. My advice, find a better hotel or guest house, nothing grand about this hotel"
