"2 families stayed whilst visiting Alton Towers. We couldn’t have stayed any closer, The Old Barn literally on the doorstep. The property have a very homely feel which made relaxing easy. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. We could even all sit together around the large table in the kitchen to eat together. Beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet. "Well lovely spacious accommodation so close to Alton towers I sort of worked out it is quicker to walk from the cottage than it is to drive into the car park and walk. I was very happy being in there and the large sofa and fire were so homely "
"Great hotel and in a quiet location. The bathroom glass door and some of the wall is not good - that would be the only item that let this hotel down - but otherwise a great hotel. "
"Excellent stay. The only suggestion I would make is there needs to be dog waste bins outside, especially with it being a dog friendly hotel.
Otherwise, everything was brilliant. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Lovely nights stay at the Ashford Arms. Comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant serving fabulous food. Nice to have a breakfast menu as opposed to a buffet. Great location in quiet village close to Bakewell. Would stay again if back in Derbyshire."
