"Cons-located at top of a hill-have to park on busy street to unload luggage and then park in paid parking or find parking on the street; no luggage racks or places for luggage in rooms-asked for luggage racks-they had none-placed our luggage on counter tops, chairs and on the floor; asked for check out one hour later at noon-front desk staff refused even though we are Hilton members; rooms are small-we had two twin beds Pros-Breakfast buffet-included eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, yogurt, juice, pastries, breads, etc; walk-in shower rather than the extra tall European tub; beds were O.K., but not great; room was clean We would not stay here again or recommend this hotel. I nearly got run over by a vehicle speeding down the street. Vehicles race down the road next to the hotel. I was trying to cross the street to enter the hotel after visiting York Minster."

"Excellent stay from start to finish. Easy and smooth check in with good communication beforehand regarding my specific needs due to disability. Room was super, well laid out and spacious. Bathroom was modern and designed for disabled use. We ate in the on site restaurant 2 nights out of 3 during our stay. Food was really exceptional given it’s a chain hotel. The seabass I had the first evening was really flavourful and the couscous and roasted veg with it was the perfect combination to go with it. I had the crab ravioli the second evening and that was just amazing. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide range of pastries, bread, cereals, fresh fruits and juice in addition to everything you could possibly want in the hot selections. I used the spa facilities both days enjoying a pedicure and a body massage. The massage left me floating and I would highly recommend them. My only gripe would be the treatment rooms are very small and really doesn’t give you much room for manoeuvre! Don’t let that detract you from the treatments on offer though and the therapists are extremely friendly and good at what they do. All in all I have no hesitation in recommending a stay here and we will certainly return, hopefully sooner rather than later. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. "

"Room was good but some marks on the wallpaper, very small bathroom with tiny bath and basic shower but plenty of towels and lovely hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser. Comfy bed with good pillows and a window that opened. Breakfast was ok, a wide variety of hot and cold items. Parking was £30 for 1 night. "

"Lovely hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Although the hotel is located outside the city, it’s only about an 18-minute drive to the city centre, so it’s still very convenient. Highly recommended! "

"Room was clean and nice but heating did not work properly and after one cold night we were given small electric radiators. Breakfast was very average. Communal areas in the hotel were very nice although pool was closed which we had not been told about. Location is excellent."
