"We stayed in one of the Lodges. Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies (decent quality not cheap), a great supply of Borders biscuits, and cleaning equipment including tablets for the dishwasher. Only problem was one of the bathrooms didn’t have a lock on the door. Our booking stated check out is 11:00 however the checkout for lodges is 10:00 with no opportunity to request a late checkout. We took a fan with us as wasn’t sure how hot the lodge would be but it was...

"Check in was very easy, the room was compact but okay for 1 night stay. We had our dog and our room was the furthers away from the main entrance or garden, so would have been better if we was a bit closer. breakfast was really good and the bar was well stocked and a great view from the bay window. would defiantly stay again."

"The location was very good. The double room booked was very small with a smaller than average double bed. Most disappointing was the very stained and dirty looking carpet. The bedding and towels were good quality and the new bathroom was nice with a good hot shower. The carpet spoiled the whole experience for me"

In all very relaxing, and the service at the bar from Mike was excellent, as well as reception staff. We had a lovely evening meal although we decided to eat out on the terrace and not in the restaurant due to the glorious weather. Couldn't fault the hotel at all. Would not hesitate to stay again."
