"The room was okay. This was a remodel of an older hotel. The lobby was nice, the exterior was nice, but the room had been smoked in the past, and once that is baked into the walls and carpets, it never comes out. I can always tell because I’m very sensitive to cigarette smoke. The caulk job in the bathroom left some to be desired. The check-in gent was very kind and efficient. "Really good deal for the 3 of us for hotel with the night including dinner and breakfast. Staff were really good so was spa facilities for what you paid for. Overall would go again. But disappointed with dinner wasn’t told it was a buffet till we got to the restaurant ( we did prebook calling few days before and saw staff at check in where there was opportunity to tell us) Though the staff where excellent at accommodating the group member who had a food allergy and letting her choose of menu....

"We had to abandon trip due to an emergency tried to move the booking to the following weekend. Initially hotel suggested it was possible but then decided it wouldn’t. Expedia staff were excellent in trying to assist. we understand the terms of the booking but as a frequent traveller the first time we have found a hotel operator to be inflexible which is a shame. As we weren’t able to complete the visit unable to comment on the rest of the facilities but unlikely to choose stop at a days inn...

"I booked a superior room for 2 nights with my wife. We arrived about 2.30pm and the room wasn’t ready. There was some confusion from the front desk about our later dinner reservation, the receptionist stated I didn’t have a booking and despite my assertions she didn’t really seem to believe that I had booked it months ago. "Yes the breakfast was good and the food was fresh, also there was a good variety of food "

"Joules and her Son were absolutely wonderful hosts. We couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome and we had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was outstanding - lots of choice and super fresh and tasty. Joules’ baking was a great surprise treat, a lovely touch in our room on arrival and the Brownies later in our stay were out of this world! Our room was spotless, very comfy bed, lovely armchairs with the spectacular view over Ironbridge and the valley....
