Lovely and guest oriented hotel in green area

This hotel lies in the greener outskirt of Essen, ideal for cycling trips or to visit tne Ruhrgebiet without the rush of a city centre. We had a very comfortable stay. There is a lot of eye for detail in this hotel. For example: we had two racebikes with us which we could park securely in a special and fully equipped bikegarage. The breakfast was well organised and the restaurant is a recommendation for lunch and dinner. Last but not least the personnel is really guest focussed. Only attention point; there is no AC in the room so I suppose there room could get really hot in summer.

Very clean rooms. But unfortunately the climate in the hotel room was very poor. It was hot and humid. Also, in my opinion the pillows were too large and too small. Furthermore, the hotel itself and its facilities were outdated. Therefore, I would not recommend this hotel.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Das Zimmer war ruhig und sauber. Allerdings lag ein Handtuch auf dem Boden und die Duschmatte war dreckig. Wahrscheinlich würde diese vergessen auszutauschen. Ansonsten alles ok.

Wir hatten dieses Hotel aufgrund der guten Bewertungen gebucht. Waren 2 Wochen vorher ebenfalls in einem 4 Sterne Hotel in der näheren Umgebung und konnten daher gut vergleichen. Beim Check in waren keine Parkplätze auf dem Gelände mehr verfügbar, da offenbar eine Tagung stattgefunden hat. War recht suboptimal, da es geregnet hat und wir mit unserem Gepäck dann entsprechend nass waren. Wir hatten eine Junior Suite Himmestürmer gebucht und bekamen ein einfaches Doppelzimmer!! Nach Rücksprache an der Rezeption wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass wir ' ja nur' einen entsprechenden Preis gezahlt hätten und dass dies ein Zimmer der Kategorie wäre. Nach Vorlage meiner Buchung von Expedia mit dem Verweis auf meiner eingelösten Reward Punkte bei Expedia ( wir hatten im Sommer eine 3 wöchige USA Reise- daraus resultierend die Reward Punkte) bekamen wir dann ein besseres Zimmer. Das haben wir bis dato in keinem Hotel erlebt. Wenn ich eine Kategorie buche und den Preis zahle, egal wie dieser sich zusammensetzt erwarten wir auch ein Zimmer in der gebuchten Kategorie. Die Dame an der Rezeption empfanden wir als recht unfreundlich. ( Wir hatten Urlaub und waren entsprechend leger angezogen, vielleicht hatte die Dame daher sich ein Bild erstellen wollen, welches völlig absurd ist! )Da wir selbst aus einer ähnlichen Branche kommen wissen wir , wie wichtig der erste Kontakt ist. Das House Keeping war sehr gut, hat das Zimmer umgehend gewechselt und war sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Sehr schönes Hotel, kleiner Pool 4 x 10 m absolut ausreichend, kleine Sauna für ca. 2,5 Personen, super das es das in diesem Hotel gibt und eine tolle Massageliege. Nette Bar, nettes Restaurant. Schöne Zimmer. Kleinigkeit: beim Wasserhahn im Bad könnte man sich verbrühen, Frühstück Preis-Leistung Abzug in der Bewertung.

Der Empfang check in und check out könnte freundlicher ablaufen. Bettwäsche hatte Flecken. Drum herum ist gar nix. Wenig für Kinder. Pool ist klein aber fein. Dusche in Saunabereich war defekt. Wir waren über Silvester 22/23 da. Sonst alles ok.
