"The Metcalfe is a wonderful property only steps away from everything downtown Ottawa has to offer. In addition to our spacious, tastefully appointed room, unbeknownst to us, the hotel charged our EV. When the valet brought our car to us on check-out it was fully charged and ready to go! Being a gifted critic I can usually find something that did not satisfy but at this well managed hotel everything was exactly the way we like it!"
"The property, rooms, staff, and breakfast are all excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Victorian decor. All-in-all, a great stay.
Rideau St, two blocks down, is a bit on the grimy side though. That said, would 100% book again."

Breakfasts at Daly’s were generous and tasty. The Shore Club dinner was a treat.
Having the Rideau Centre shopping mall attached was very convenient.
Valet parking made arriving and leaving throughout our stay very easy.

"The Swiss Hotel was a convenient and clean place for us to stay while in Ottawa for a few days. We discovered its just down the street from the Ottawa Mission so we changed our walking route. Interestingly there were two high end hotels located just across the street from the Mission. We liked that the Swiss Hotel was close to the Byward Market area, Parliament Buildings and museums. We would stay here again."
"Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable - clean and tidy, modern finishes, full fridge was a bonus, temperature was easy to control and manage. Lots of sunlight during the day (heavy curtains blocked it out when needed though). The cafe attached to the hotel was nice, very convenient for breakfast and lunch. Walkable to a good variety of restaurants and parks. Area around the hotel was a bit rundown, lots of condemned buildings, but did not feel unsafe -...
