Valley at Chilcombe Farm The valley of a headwater of Halse Water near its source below Elworthy Cross, seen from the B3188 at Chilcombe Farm.
Elworthy Cross The B3224 from Bishop's Lydeard drops to cross the B3188. The slightly offset crossroads is actually on a col; to the left the combe drains south towards the Tone, to the right, north to the Doniford Water.

Very happy with the large room overlooking the river. Bed was comfortable, vegan breakfast good but really instant coffee?! This was the only criticism- should have brewed coffee as this is standard at every place I stay at. Josh was a great bartender
