"Amazing hotel in all regards. Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely area, nice walks nearby, great hotel rooms and restaurants. Clean, very nicely furnished. Superb service from staff. Great food in the Hancock Kitchen (less formal of the 2 restaurants) - didn’t eat at the more formal one. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for many many years. Encourage anyone to visit."

"The staff were welcoming, very helpful & friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and looked like it had recently been refurbished. We had everything we needed & even some shortbread with our tea tray, a lovely extra touch! We ate in the bar & again both the food & service were excellent. I cannot rate our stay highly enough & we are looking forward to returning next year & using it as our base for Burghley Horse Trials. Thank you 😊"

"Pleasant staff on arrival nice and prompt attention, lovely surroundings outside. Comfortable room with great corner bath for much needed relax. Most excellent steak pie for supper. All positive, only negative would be poor wifi connection booster required i would suggest . Nevertheless great stay for business travelling"

"Although I’ve marked everything as excellent, I have to point out that the signature plus townhouse double room is accessed by a steep set of stairs into what was the basement. "Really nice place. Friendly and very helpful. Only a one night stay this time which was a pity because I enjoyed a longer stay last time and would have liked to stay a bit longer this time. The restaurant is closed on Mondays but plenty of other options a short walk away in the high street. I would ahve liked to eat at Candlesticks though becuase the food there was excellent last time. "Extremely friendly receptionist and it’s so nice to be accompanied to your room rather than be left alone .
