"Lovely characterful country house set in the beautiful South Downs National Park, but within easy reach of many other places of interest. Car needed to take full advantage of the location. "Check in was easy and the staff were amazing during my entire stay. I stayed in a single room, the room was surprisingly spacious and well laid out and had a decent sized bathroom. Couple of things to note: Room was on the third floor, there is no elevator. Not too much of a problem as the stairs are not steep or narrow. Room was in the”attic space” so being just over 5’ tall wasn’t too much of a problem, but anyone taller may find it a bit of a problem. Room had great skylights with...

"Hotel is nice and close to the town, and very clean. Parking was easy and ample. Everyone that works there are really friendly. The room was just the right size (with the usual amenities) with a decent ensuite bathroom. A good selection of breakfast items - the English breakfast is lovely."
