Quiet, chilled basic room near the beach

Basic, clean rooms (in need of a few repairs) in a relaxed outdoor setting, just a few minutes walk from a small beach. Wet-room style bathroom with shower / toilet. Cooked to order breakfast with eggs, instant coffee. Wifi in lobby / dining area only, but that's only a few paces from your room! Very quiet location away from any main roads. Took about 20 mins to walk to get to the edge of the main town of El Nido; another 10 mins to the ferry pier, so it's a nice option if you want to be in a quiet place but not far from the shops, bars and beach. There isn't a road all the way - your tricycle (tuktuk) driver has to go along the beach part of the way to get you there! There are a couple of other resort hotels nearby which have very lovely and peaceful restaurants right on the seafront which you can try. One problem - when we arrived they didn't have any record of our booking and in fact said that they didn't take bookings through hotels.com. Nonetheless, they were very helpful and had a room available, although unfortunately we had to change to another room after the first night. So if you'd like to stay here I advise you contact them directly or through another agent.

Wir hatten eine schreckliche Nacht in diesem Hotel. Die Bettlaken waren dreckig, das Zimmer war viel zu dunkel. Das Bad war auch nicht geputzt. Unser Zimmer bzw. Hütte war direkt neben der viel befahrenen Straße (2 Meter) Wir konnten die ganze Nacht nicht schlafen, man meinte die Mopeds fahren direkt neben dem Ohr vorbei. Am nächsten Tag wollten wir das Zimmer wechseln, aber sie konnten uns kein anderes anbieten, da sie eigentlich überbucht sind und die Hütte an der Straße normalerweise nicht vermietet wird, weil es zu laut ist. Wir sollten uns ein anderes Hotel suchen und der Gesamtbetrag wird zurückerstattet, war die Auskunft der Eigentümerin des Hotels. Wir haben bis heute kein Geld zurück erhalten, das Hotel reagiert seit 3 Wochen nicht auf E-mails (von Expedia und mir) die Telefonnummer, die sie mir gegeben hat war auch falsch! Einmal und nie wieder!! Kann dieses Hotel niemanden weiterempfehlen!

The hosts we really helpful when we needed to stay another night because my girlfriend got sick. Breakfast was great, rooms were spacious and clean. A/C worked good. Location isn't amazing but the walk is nice so it isn't that bad. Overall a great stay in El Nido.

a very homey and comfortable hotel

The owner/staff of the hotel were really willing to help. They had provided us many useful recommendations on choosing tours and looking for restaurants. The hotel is so homey and comfortable, and we had really enjoyed our stay there.

Arrived to check in, room allocated to me opens out the door to the road used exclusively by motorcycles. The fumes in the room were overwhelming and made any possible stay impossible. The owner promised to consider a refund proving Expedia contact them (they have not). I was left to find suitable accommodation (at condiderable expense) for the Xmas holidays to rest my lungs before returning home for medical attention. If I had known that breathing in exhaust fumes was part of the deal, I wouldn't have booked here.

Perfect!

Pros Everything was perfect. The best: Our hosts. Always very helpful, friendly and gave us many recommendations. Breakfast very good and cooked on the spot. Room clean. Cons Nothing! Just to say something: The wifi doesn’t work really well but this is normal in the Philippines.

Wonderful family who look after you.

Loved our stay here with this wonderful family. The owner will help you with everything you need. I extended my stay because they were good and when i left to stay with friends 45 min away he went and picked up my passport for me from the motorcycle hire lady that i forgot and brought it to me. The breakfast was the best we had during our holiday. If i go back to stay in El Nido it will be without doubt right here.

Gerne wieder!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, das Zimmer war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir wollten zunächst nur zwei Nächte bleiben, haben aber dann auf fünf Nächte verlängert, weil es uns so sehr gefallen hat. Die Lage hat uns gut gefallen, zum "Zentrum" waren es etwa 10 Minuten zu laufen, der Weg dorthin ist sehr schön. Der Besitzer Max ist sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit. Der Service könnte nicht besser sein. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen.

Max was an helpful owner I could say. But we had some problems during our stay. Electricity went off on our first night and that night we couldnt sleep at all because of AC not working. The building next to our room started its generator and it was almost in our room. Sweat plus noise. Also there was a frog next to window making noise and we thought that it was in the room. We tried to look for it and got warned to be silent! Max could turn the generator on but he didnt. At least provide fan. Anyways he helped us booking the van to airport. But be careful, even they said those vans are leaving at the time you book, it is a big lie. They are waiting until it gets full. So if you have a flight, book it at least 1 hour earlier. So, this property’s service can be improved. Just dont get the room next to the kitchen. Walls are so thin and you hear everything in your room.

Best eggs in the Philippines! Very hospitable and accommodating. Location is hard to get to unless you hire a scooter. The room was full of ants.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel per tre notti con colazione inclusa.Il proprietario è sempre stato gentilissimo e ben disposto a darmi consigli su cosa e dove fare.Le camere sono semplici ma pulite.È situato a pochi passi dal mare e dal centro. Wi-fi non sempre funziona,ma come un pò dappertutto a El Nido.

Great place to stay

This is a cute little place to stay while exploring El Nido. I loved that it was close to the beach and easy to walk to restaurants and tours. I would stay here again if I came back to El Nido even though it was a little loud with the motorbikes and the dogs nearby.

Dragonfly review

Very friendly and helpful host. Tasty breakfast. Maybe bring ear plugs as can sometimes hear motorbikes or generators as the walls are very thin.

Ottimo

La struttura è molto bella e caratteristica, le stanze sono minimali ma spaziose, la pulizia è ottima e sia Max, il proprietario, che le ragazze sono stati super gentili con noi, Max in particolare, ci ha aiutato indicandoci ristoranti e spiagge da visitare. La posizione dell’hotel è comoda, a 10 minuti di camminata dalla town e 15 minuti di triciclo dall’aereoporto di El nido. La colazione è abbondante e buona. Onestamente qualità/prezzo super per quanto riguarda l’intero soggiorno.lo consiglio vivamente

Unterkunft so lala, Personal ausgezeichnet!

Das Personal und der Inhaber sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit! Jeden Morgen wird ein super Frühstück serviert. Das Zimmer ist sauber, hatte ein paar Ameisen im Badezimmer, hat mich aber überhaupt nicht gestört. Das Zimmer ist geräumig, mit einem sehr bequemen Bett. Die Dusche ist super und der Balkon ist auch toll. Ein grösserer Spiegel und besseres Licht könnte es haben (für Frauen die sich schminken und ihr Outfit checken wollen ;-)). Des Öfteren fiel der Strom aus (kein Licht, keine Klimaanlage, kein Ventilator, kein Waaser mehr). Ist jedoch normal auf der Insel, genau wie das schlechte WLAN :-). Der Generator konnte zumindes Erstere Probleme rasch beheben. Es ist ca. 20 Min. vom Zentrum zu Fuss entfernt und sie bieten keinen Tricycle Service an (unbedingt bei der Abreise beachten, wenn ihr nicht mir dem Gepäck ins Zentrum laufen möchtet!). Zum Schlafen ist es eher laut, hört sich an, als wären die Motorräder, Hunde und Hühner im Zimmer :-) aber da man so erschöpft vom Tag ist, konnte ich immer schlafen. Also eigentlich tolles Hotel mit tollen Leuten, aber meiner Meinung nach zu laut und zu weit weg... Schade :-(

Fantastico

Siamo arrivati a el nido dopo una settimana a Coron, dove veramente sono 100 anni indietro a noi. Eravamo un po' titubante visto le condizioni igieniche in cui vivono. Invece....posto carinissimo, camera accogliente e soprattutto pulita, proprietario ITALIANO , che quindi ci ha potuto fornire una marea di consigli su dove e come muoverci, dove mangiare, escursioni da fare,. Ci ha reso davvero unica la vacanza! Molto disponibile. È davvero un posto che consiglio a tutti quelli che vogliono passare una piacevole vacanza a el Nido

Nice owners and a clean room in El Nido!

We enjoyed our stay at the Dragonfly! The owner was very kind and gave great recommendations for places to explore and safe eating spots. The location was perfectly out of the way (just a short and quiet walk from town). The room was clean and comfortable. Be careful with leaving your shoes outside though! We had a shoe get stolen by a dog right off the porch (which we luckily found later in a bush!).

オーバーブッキング？

６人で２部屋２泊を予約してしていたが、初日は近隣のInn（紹介によるもの？）と従業員/家族棟の各一室をあてがわれ、翌日も従業員/家族棟の一室はそのまま、やっと本来のスタンダードルームが一室のみ利用できたという次第。最初からオーバーブッキングじゃなかったの？到着してから宿泊人数、日数等確認していたからね。普段、滞在の感想など書くことのない私から率直な感想。
