I had a great experience in this place. Perfect location, away but close enough from and to the main street. It is also close to great restaurants (La Esquina), and many others, and the best about this hotel is that you can start hiking to Laguna Torres from this location. I must thank Santi (the owner), Nico, and Agustina for the warm and friendly treatment they provided me during my stay. Santi gave me a lot of advise, and options of what to do in El Chalten. Nico was super experience about place to go, and Agustina was also very knowledgable on trails, hikes, and overal experience about El Chalten. These guys are really friendly, and they make you feel welcome in their hotel. My experience in this place was 10 out of 10.

Large, nice room. Felt very cosy braced against the harsh winds and sparse scenery. Very friendly staff in check in. Decent breakfast. No complaints.

This lodge embodies the el Chalten vibe - unpretentious, friendly, easy to work with and helpful. Santiago and his staff had spot on suggestions on everything from the best hiking routes, weather forecasts and places for dinner and drinks.

Overall the property seemed nice, but we didn't get to enjoy it much as the water was out almost the entire time we were staying there so we didn't make a point of sticking around. They have a strange key policy where you leave your room key in a bowl when you leave, and all other residents have access to that bowl. It left me uneasy as far as the security of our things.

Hotel familiar con buena relación precio-calidad

Es la segunda vez que voy al hotel y sigue siendo una buena opción dentro de su categoría. La habitación es grande, espaciosa y bien equipada (aunque le faltaría una caja fuerte electrónica), el baño completo con jabón en pastilla y no líquido, como lamentablemente se estila ahora. El desayuno es un poco pobre, como también se estila en establecimientos de esta categoría en Argentina. Para adaptarse a la pandemia, se ofrece por turnos, con lo cual no suele haber acumulaciones de gente. Volvería a ir cada vez que vuelva a El Chaltén.

The hotel has nice service, Cony at the reception was great and they put in the effort to accommodate our food needs. The 3-star is nowhere comparable to US hotels, but everything in Chalten is overpriced and not living up the standards of what one pays.

El hotel se nota nuevo en sus instalaciones, el desayuno es rico y el personal es muy amable. Le faltan algunos detalles de terminación como barniz en techo y puertas o limpiar de restos de la construcción en la cornisa de la ventana. A tener muy en cuenta: 1. El acceso a la habitación (apenas se abre la puerta) es con 2 escalones hacia abajo lo cual para niños pequeños o gente mayor puede ser problemático. 2. No hay T.V. en las habitaciones por lo cual un día de lluvia, o el día que no se siente bien y tiene que quedarse en el hotel o la pareja se va a hacer trekking y el otro quiere quedarse, no van a tener la opción más básica de entretenimiento. 3. Es muy malo el servicio de WI-FI y no es excusa la zona montañosa. En otros lugares del Chaltén había buen servicio pero ahí no se recibían ni los WhatsApp. 4. Sábanas manchadas por anteriores usos.

Very nice place, friendly staff. Would have been nice if WiFi worked better, but it's a problem in most places in El Chaltén. Breakfast was also pretty basic, again par for the course for El Chaltén.

Deux nuits à El Chaltén

Séjour de deux nuits à El Chaltén. Vendu par le site avec petit-déjeuner, hors comme il s'agit de cabanes, le petit déjeuner n'y est habituellement pas compris, la réceptionniste nous donne le choix d'être relogés à l'hôtel voisin (pour le même prix alors que l'hôtel est censé être plus cher à la nuit) pour bénéficier du petit-déjeuner ou de prendre quand même la cabane et de venir prendre le petit-déjeuner de l'hôtel le matin. Le service est de qualité et le village est très charmant

Nice hotel

Nice big room and comfortable bed. Staff were helpfull and breakfast was ok. It's in a great location not far from bus station and very quiet at night. Wifi worked in room and foyer. It wasn't fast but neither was it fast any where else in El Chalten. Would recommend and stay again.

Excellent staff and very centrally located

The rooms at Cumbres Nevadas are nice enough. All of your basic amenities are taken care of. They're clean and pretty good sized. But what we really liked about Cumbres Nevadas was the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, especially Sofia. She recommended the transfer to El Pilar for the start of our hike to Lago de Los Tres, which may have been the best advice of our entire trip. She also recommended several restaurants, all of which were great. We definitely enjoyed our stay here.
