Friendly hotel in central El Calafate

Nice clean room, no issues. Good breakfast - continental style, scrabbled eggs, toast, pancakes. Friendly staff - they run their own local tour agency, which we used for our three trips, all picking up from the hotel. Hotel well situated for centre of town, a few 100m away.

Giving 3 stars mainly because amenities definitely need an upgrade - especially the shower. Rooms were just ok - no elevators. our room was in second floor and when we checked out, no staff was available at reception so we struggled to carry 5 suitcases from 2nd floor to lobby. For the price I paid, expected an upscaled room. Pros - convenient location to elcalafate city for restaurants/cafe and convenient for tour pick up

Rooms were a little hot at night as the weather in Calafate was much warmer than usual, no a/c but rooms were clean and comfortable. A little noisy at times with people walking past the balconies. Great location with the Main Street a few minutes walk away and a nice park across the road. Augustin on the front desk was fantastic and helped us book a couple of excursions, get some laundry done and gave us some good recommendations for places to eat and for drinks. Great guy!

The hotel’s exterior and communal areas are lovely, the same can’t be said about our room which is a shame. Style over substance. The room was a good size however it is the hardest mattress I have ever slept on! There was not a lot of light in the room either and the bathroom was very haphazard in construction.

Amazing Place to Stay in Calafate

We loved our stay! The front desk really made our stay. They went above and beyond in helping us arrange additional travel. Would highly recommend! Location is also wonderful. Quick walk to the bus station and even quicker walk to the main street.
