Top Edinburgh Hotel Reviews

Point A Edinburgh Haymarket
8/10 Good
"The stay was okay, wish there were slippers as walking around barefoot is not pleasant. There were no face towels as well."

Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club

"Beautiful scenery and very clean"

YOTEL Edinburgh

"The family rooms are perfect for cheap, short stays. There is not much privacy. But they are clean and comfortable."

Apex Grassmarket Hotel

"Wonderful stay!"

CODE - The Court, Edinburgh
10/10 Excellent
"Loved all the thoughtful care given to leaving luggage before checkin and after checkout. The communal bathroom was spotless. The location was unmatched (bonus concert in St. Giles right across the street). Fun work space. Funky but very clean and comfortable “cell” with towels and flip flops. Breakfast was wonderful! It was a perfect place for us. Would return in a heartbeat!"

Apex Waterloo Place Hotel
8/10 Good
"The breakfast was the highlight of our stay! Absolutely fantastic! Choices, taste, and presentation were great. As for the property, the lobby is beautiful. The room was fine but the grout in the bathroom needs to be scrubbed. The room was carpeted so, safe to say, there were stains which made it look not so great. The bed and pillows were comfortable. However, one of our throw pillows had a hole and rip on the cover which was also kind of off putting. It was a bit weird having to pay extra for a robe and slippers but at least it wasn’t much. The staff were great and very helpful/accommodating at all hours. All in all, for the location and general aesthetic, we had a good stay."

Virgin Hotels Edinburgh
10/10 Excellent
"I had a very enjoyable stay at Virgin Hotels Edinburgh and would highly recommend it. A special thank you to Zack at the front desk, who was excellent. I had accidentally picked the wrong room, and Zack went out of his way to help move us to a better fit. He also assisted with our bags and kindly left a nice note, which was genuinely appreciated. That kind of thoughtful service makes a big difference. The hotel itself is a little unusual at first because of how it is structured. The main floor is actually on the 6th floor, and the hotel seems to run both up and down from there. Once you figure it out, it adds to the character of the place. The location is excellent central and easy to get out to the Royal Mile and explore Edinburgh. The complimentary two drinks were a great touch, so thank you, Virgin. The breakfast buffet was also very good. I also really enjoyed the art and decor throughout the hotel. I am not usually an “artistic type,” but I found the design very interesting and memorable. The reading library room was another nice feature and gave the hotel a comfortable, thoughtful feel. I only wish I could have stayed in Sir Richard Branson’s suite, but that is way above my pay grade! Overall, this is a great hotel with a central location, interesting decor, good food, and excellent staff. Highly recommended from an average guy who really enjoyed his stay."
