"Stayed for 1 night on our way to Scotland. Great hotel, lovely people. There’s a 24hour café next to the hotel so we had food in there. Breakfast was spot on. Great value for money "

Food was excellent and room was very clean
Staff were very friendly
The one downside was that there was no parking but that was the same for all hotels in that area
I could have spent all day looking at the shipping artefacts in this inn
Would definitely return for another stay "
"Our stay was amazing from start to finish. I was kept updated with information regading all aspects including check-in protocol, wifi details and breakfast timetables.
Our only interaction with staff personally, was at breakfast, which was delicious.
We had a great conversation with one of the staff who gave us some fantastic advice and information in preparation for our visit to Edinburgh later that day.
Thank you to all at the Home Arms, we'll hopefully visit again if in the area."

"This was a rabbit warren of a hotel, with rooms of all shapes and sizes scattered throughout the site. We were initially given a very dark room, which was a strange shape, and a yapping dog next door; we were given a much better room when we complained.
There was a problem with the wifi connection throughout our stay, and as the mobile phone signal was poor, we had to leave the hotel to get an internet connection.
There was insufficient car parking on site and so we had to pay £10.80 per day at...
"Super choice of hotel as it is near the station, so it easy to get to & from.
It is also located a bit away from the main shopping area, so quieter than if nearer the town.
The staff too were very friendly & helpful."
"Was a lovely experience staying on an overnight. All staff were just amazing. Had dinner and breakfast the next morning. The bar was well used by locals. Great atmosphere. Our room was absolutely gorgeous."
"Every where in the hotel was very clean and well presented, the dining room was spacious and comfortable, breakfasts were amazing. The bar was also good and although we didn't eat the food looked good. The hotel and bar are very dog friendly. Everyone was warm and welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay. Food choice was good. Downside the amount of curry my wife had could of been more plentiful. My teriyaki fish needed more seasoning, I don't usually add salt or pepper to meals but in this case had to.
Saying that my 2 friends steak and linguine was apparently lovely. The full English was exceptionally good and plentiful
