We really enjoyed our stay at Moonlight Beach Suites. The property is literally right on the beach with beautiful views. Everything was as advertised. We wish we could have stayed for a week.
This was such a beautiful and peaceful stay. It was my last stay before going back home, and i hadn’t been sleeping the best before getting here.
It was so peaceful, beautiful to wake up to the ocean outside everyday. And they could have absolutely anything possible you could need for your stay.
I will 100% be back
The room was beautifully decorated with a beach and ocean theme, and the fine details were clearly considered including a very well equipped kitchenette, soft robes and so much more. The view of the beach and ocean from the room and its location literally right out your door was the experience we were looking for; and the hike to the peak overlooking the ocean was a great perk. Jane is a wonderful, friendly, attentive host, and gave us all the privacy we like. The exterior of the property building needs some TLC and updating, and the indoor hottub was not in a setting we would choose personally. Otherwise it was a really beautiful experience!
Like an Air B&B but different. The hosts live in the same building. Beautiful setting. Good place to go if you are thinking of writing a book. Hope to get back one day.
The view at sunset is to die for.
It’s a lovely beach to walk at low tide.
The decor inside is cute and matching. All manner of items are available in the kitchen and the “nanny room” to make your stay enjoyable. I did not use the other room (with the hot tub)
The owners, Jane and Cal, are friendly.
The downfall? Cleanliness. Neat and Clean are not the same. The place was neat, but not clean.
As well, when I texted to have the bathroom addressed - I was “left on read”. An hour later, I cleaned the bathroom myself before feeling comfortable to shower/bathe. It has never been addressed - lots of talk about “let us know if you need anything” but I guess you can let them know, just doesn’t mean they’ll address it.
What a gem! Private access to the beach, amazing sunsets, exceptional cleanliness and nice extras to add to the comfort of this very special charming place. We will return!
In an excellent location. Being able to walk from the suite right along Laurencetown beach was lovely. Jane was a lovely host and responsive to our needs. We were in the smallest suite which has a limited view but met our needs perfectly. It had everything we needed to cook in the little kitchen but also nice eateries close by. The suite is a bit dated but lovely and clean and quiet.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We loved the location and beach. The accommodations were much smaller than we thought we were getting, and were in the basement part of the unit. We further understand that this unit had been previously flooded so it was presented with a dehimudifier and air purifier. Unfortunately our belongings smelled musty after a 2 day stay.
The suite was Jane organized had everything you would ever need.
Jane and Cal’s granddaughter set up the GPS and radio for me on the car I rented.
Cal was right there to help carry up my carry on which I really appreciated.
He was concerned when I didn’t get back from a Sailing Cruise in time.
Cal is the most famous key man I have ever met( although I have only met him, that definitely doesn’t disqualify him because he is from Halifax.
I would highly recommended this place for the following 3 reasons: 1) the smell of the ocean air 2) the view of the Atlantic Ocean waves was surreal 3) ***the most important one was these great people who helped whenever they could and how the suite was set up in a Nautical theme was magical
