The staff were very friendly. The room was lovely. The only negative thing about our state was the slamming of the room doors that were beside us, we stayed in room 101
I loved the guys who met us at the train station and transported us and our luggage to and from the lodge.
Front desk staff was very helpful.
Everyone was super friendly.
The grounds are beautiful.
I would love to stay there again.
This is an iconic lodge with great proximity to the east side of Glacier. Beautiful setting.
Rooms are small and outdated…and bed is way too soft, but fine for an overnight stay. Box fan in room but not an extension cord. Food was excellent and friendly staff
This lodge was impressive in so many ways. The construction and history along with the beautiful grounds and open green space was awesome to say the least. It does not have elevators or television and I felt like it took me back in time.
The property is a grand property built during early times that lacks certain amenities that modern travelers expect. For instance, no elevators. Our room was very small and hadn't been updated. It was clean, though; the corridor was quiet. The setting is relaxing and invites the hurried traveler to slow down, enjoy conversation or a game of cards, read a book, or surf the internet. The staff is numerous, knowledgeable, courteous and pleasant. It is near to Glacier National Park, and across from the East Glacier Park Amtrack station.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
The staff was excellent! The restaurant was typical hotel fare—average food and a bit overpriced. The room, however, gave us a good laugh. The "queen bedroom" was exactly that: a queen bed and a desk, with no extra frills.
The real highlight was the bathroom. The shower wasn't even arm-width wide! I dropped the soap and had to step out of the shower to pick it up. And before anyone asks, I'm not a big girl! My husband and I couldn't stop laughing at how tiny the bathroom was. It definitely made for a memorable stay!
A classic resort, incredible architecture and gracious grounds. I love how there are many activities available outside.

It is great to stay at a historic property and we appreciated the historic value. However, that brought with it very outdated bathrooms and a lot of noise from the room upstairs. It was a good place to stay for a night or two
East Glacier Lodge was very historic and comfortable. Lobby was huge with many areas to gather and relax. Staff was amazing and waiting to help in any way. Food was very good and huckleberry margaritas were the best. Close to National park access.
