Great place affordable

Loved that I could park in front of my door. Customer service A+ Older motel but renovated, clean and comfortable. Self check-in could not have been easier. I had a question about the Wi-Fi and sent a text message and heard back in less than a minute. Loved this place.

Room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Only negatives were a noisy window style a/c which we needed to run a lot because it was stuffy in the room. And, the only green space was full of dog poop from the managers dogs. I always pick up my dog’s poop and was disappointed that I couldn’t walk through the grass or sit outside in the grassy area because of dog poop.

Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. This is a very basic room. Older hotel, nothing fancy but has everything you need for good nights rest after a long day of traveling. YOU CAN NOT BEAT THE PRICE for the Durango area. Very reasonable. Everything is done via e mail. New experience for me but the manager was quick to respond and very helpful. I had a personal issue with my CC and they were extremly patient until I got it worked out. The one site person I met was a very kind and helpful lady. She made us feel welcome. If you just want a basic, clean room at a good price, i recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed having the kitchenette in the room and the ease of walking to Downtown Durango from the property. The bed was very comfortable, and the cleaning staff were friendly. It's a little loud being located right on a busy road, but the road was not busy at night.

Check in was fairly easy. Parking was good. The room is remodeled and comfortable. The cleanliness of the room was horrible. Seemed like they only changed / made the bed from the previous tenent. Old wash rags in the shower, dirty floors, dirty everything. Had to wipe the whole room just to feel comfortable. Could have been a good stay if it was clean.

This is one of the most beautiful and underrated Hotel that I have stayed in. You guys do a terrific job with communication wise. I really loved everything with respect to the hotel. Nice little stay!

Nice little stay for the price. Right in town, easy access to everything. Outside of it looked a little run down but inside was super nice and clean, updated. Self check in, but our room wasn’t ready, staff apologized, understaffed, quick response via text with management. Overall would recommend!

I was so pleasantly surprised. This is a no staff motel. Easy check in and the car right outside your door I love. Room is basic but spotlessly clean. Bed very comfortable and only two minutes from downtown. I will definitely stay here again

Clean, good instructions for DIY check in

I’d probably stay at the Wapiti again because it is clean, well maintained and more affordable than other places in Durango. The online instructions for checking in were pretty easy to follow. Beds, linens and pillows were very comfortable, and fridge, coffee machine and microwave were good to have. Honestly, the only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the smell of cleaning products, which we tackled with open windows and which put this in the four star and not five star category.
