The resort was once a very nice place to stay, but it shows its age and is run down. shower was very poor in the room. the pool looked great ! the breakfast was poor, the restaurant area was very old and dusty
but, the staff were very friendly !
The staff were exceptional, surprising me on my birthday. Even the grounds crew wished me a happy birthday! They were very helpful and nice.
I wish the small tub was a hot tub, but the pool was nice.
The breakfast buffet was so so- but the BBQ dinner was very good.
The beach was nice and had a bit of wildlife to see.
The grounds were quiet and neat.
Nicely appointed resort. While it doesn't quite have amenities like a gym or in-house spa, the place is great for a brief visit. The rooms are spacious and clean and quite comfortable to stay in. Staff was very attentive and responsive, and go out of their way to help you feel at home. Was very pleased to have stayed here!
Sta. Monica was the most relaxing part of our Philippines holiday. All the staff at the resort were extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms were simple and clean. They must have an excellent chef as all food on the menu no matter the cuisine was amazing and also really good value for money. The property itself is gorgeous with a great view and a comfortable pool area. We are really grateful to the staff at Sta. Monica for giving us a relaxing holiday and helping us plan our daytrip to the sandbar and twin lakes.

Nice and peaceful.
If 5 star is what your looking for, this is not the place for you. If you want tranquility then you will enjoy this resort,
Amazing pool with a great and kind staff. The bed was comfortable and the room neat. This is not a luxury hotel by any means, but from my point of view and budget this place was really great. This is out of the way and quiet, safe and romantic - right on the water. Nice gardens and landscaping. Simple but nice. I was super happy with everything. The free breakfasts were delicious and generous. Dinner under the open air thatched roof dinning room was so nice. The food was good and very reasonable. Over all a good value for an ocean front get a way.
One of the House Keeping staff by the name if Michael left a sweet note and two peanut butter cookies, of course the cookies were supplied by the Hotel but his inspiring and thought provoking messages were so wonderful. HE made our stay special. Thank You again Michael..
The room itself was nice, and the staff very helpful. The hotel is 5km from town and the road there is bumpy and full of potholes, so it takes about 20 minutes to get into town. The pool area is beautiful and the pool is very nice, but you can't swim at the beach.
The staffs were very nice and warm. The only concern we had was the condition of the room. It's kinda old and needs a lot of upgrades. Otherwise the resort was fine.
Secluded... with nothing to do or see... except sit on the porch and watch the coconut trees.
Water was nasty brownish at the shore with no sand. No snorkeling anywhere… except on other islands... hours away.
Pool was blue but slimy, Restaurant limited varieties of food selections unless you were Asian, poor quality of food
Room was not prepared for our arrival; Bathroom was too small to turn around in and impossible to navigate with two people. No water for the shower and the drain would not function after the issue was resolved; No shower shoes even though advertised.
Final day we were up early for breakfast but the restaurant was closed due to a wedding. No notice!
Upon check out there was an addition of 4000 pesos on the bill, which required extensive communications to resolve. We will never use the resort again and inform our friends... to stay away!

The Manager could not help me in getting my lost baggage during a local bus travel, though he had more than 24 hours to do that.
