Nice location in centre of Dortmund. Nice lounge and terrace. Breakfast is simple but sufficient if you stay a few days. Rooms are a bit tight but very clean. The beds are really comfortable. Perfect place for a city trip of 2-3 nights.

close to the station

This hotel is really close to the main train station. However all around there were lots of drunkards and beggars that made our short walk very unpleasant. The room is the standard A&O room, which we like for 1-2 night stay. The walls were a bit dirty and the big mirror in the room was broken and just put on the table ( we took a pic and showed to the reception). The toilette was clean.

In cheaper places in an excellent location you usually get more or less what you pay for. The A&O, however, punches above its weight. Not only is the location excellent, right around the corner of Dortmund Central Station, AND it is pretty quiet, the personnel is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable; but the property is also clean, my room was really big, the amenities are modern and well maintained, there is a spacious lobby, a safe and well-organized luggage room - it's just overall great value for the price!

Great location

We stayed in the 'hotel' part of the accommodation. Ours was a room with two single beds, plus a pair of bunk beds. It wasn't the biggest room in the world, but it was more than adequate. A good ensuite with an excellent shower. The location of the hotel/hostel is excellent, just five minutes from the main station. The common areas are all well kept and the bar prices were very reasonable. In case you are driving it is worth noting that there is no parking available on site. We parked in a multi-storey which was about five minutes walk away.
