This was a very clean and well maintained place, with the Whirlpool being the only exception. There was nasty mold buildup in the corners above the water line. The swimming pool was very clean but the temp was too cold. Overall a very nice place. Good breakfast too.

Overall maintenance: This property has really gotten run down. Bathrooms have stained fixtures, poor water pressure for showers. The pool area: Hot tub was broken and not clean, pool was dirty as well. Breakfast was good. Linens were clean. But overall, with so many people going to House on the Rock this hotel should be updated, cleaned up and ready for happy customers. Very disappointed with how run down it has become.

The staff was very friendly, kind, and efficient. The rooms were clean with adequate space, but the whole hotel had a mildew smell to it. Likely from the lobby pool and all the carpeted areas. And there was a lot of scented products seeming to try cover it up. I’m really sensitive to chemical smells, strong cleaners, mold, and mildew, so for this was a tough place to sleep comfortably.

We had a great experience at this hotel. Walking in the door the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was well maintained and cleaned. The air was turned on for us. Made it nice and cool when entering the room. No complaint about this hotel. Will stay again, if we decide to travel through Dodgeville again. The breakfast was great and a lot too choose from.

The AmericInn was wonderful. We head to Spring Green every year to American Players Theater. We’d never stayed at this place before and are glad we tried it. The pool was great; salt water pool so no chlorine. Heated perfectly. Breakfast similar to other hotels but not overcooked eggs or sausage. Rooms had been renovated. Newer beds and very comfortable. Kim was at the front desk and also did the breakfast. She made everyone feel like they were home. Engaging and nice. Will defiantly go back next year for our annual 3-night stay.

All employess very pleasant and helpful. Room spacious, comfortable bed, good sized fridge. Toilet room a little tight. Shower floor a little slippery. Basic continental breakfast with hot options. Available pool (Did not use). "Curb appeal" could be better. Some highway noise on street side.
