"Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful. However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay,...

"A return trip for us and another good stay. It was very hot (no air conditioning) but a fan was provided and the current heat is unprecedented! The food in the pub is excellent and the breakfast was great too."

"Fantastic communication from the outset. Easily found and right next door to The Mayflower public house so after a long journey there’s no further travelling to do to get an evening meal. Plenty of parking, very easy check in and an exceptional selection of produce supplied for breakfast next morning. Good heating system, great bed, powerful shower, all in all with all of the other attentions to detail a great stay, very highly recommended."

We finally found a few customers who told us that only member of staff doing front of house was getting ice cream for their daughter. When she appeared we asked about food but was told that the kitchen closed at 2 and that we would need to go out if we were hungry. "Accommodation was okay. Some areas a bit tired looking but generally clean and well kempt. The ladies on reception went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Always a smile for anyone they met. They are a credit to Days Inn. Major gripe is that parking is charged at £5 per night on top of the rate. The car park is clearly theirs and only a few vehicles parked there overnight. I have a blue badge, parked in one of the disabled bays throughout our stay. There was no concession for this...

"Wow! The most beautiful nights stay at The Peacock, the scenery, the room, the food, the staff. I didn't want to leave. I LOVED the little touches - the Peacock shortbread, the glass bottles for water/milk, bath salts. I've stopped in a lot of hotels and I have to say this stay beats them all. Perfect! Thanks so much. I hope to be back soon."

"Short visit whilst visiting Sheffield. Good location, easy to access motorways. Check in quick and friendly, got an early check in as I had contacted to request in advance. Room lovely and clean with tea/coffee and a large TV plus WiFi with no charge. Reception staff very nice and couldn't help enough. Would return if in the area again."
