Excellent -- attentive, helpful and friendly -- staff!! My room was very clean and was kept clean during my 6 nights in the hotel. The restaurant was also excellent. There are three pools in this hotel, which is also impressive. I am more negative about three matters which are probably less relevant for most people. First, the gym is a dangerous disaster zone and should be avoided. Neither of the running treadmills worked during my rather lengthy stay. None of the equipment worked and the two weight machines were in a dangerous state. It really shouldn't be expensive to bring in better (at least functional equipment) equipment. Second, the largest of the two outdoor pools seemed rather dirty and the water had a strange smell. There was a worryinglt dirty ring around the top edge of the side of the pool. As for the strange smell, given that the water of Dilijan is of an excellent quality and plentiful, I found this particularly odd. The strange smell might come from the chlorine used. However, having swum in hotel pools around the room (including at least 20 African countries!), I have never previously encountered such a strange smelling pool!! Still, the area around the pool was kept very clean and there were staff available to provide towels, etc.. I did not try the other two pools which looked perfectly clean from a distance. Third, the hotel room air conditioning was loud and dysfunctional. Given, the cool mountain nights, air conditioning should be needed for most people

Property location is good. Beds are confy. Internet signal is unstable. Taxi is a little far (not hotel fault). Service is good at the restaurant. Breakfast is above avarage but short (from 9 to 11). You basically have to stop your pool time to have breakfast or skip it. Staff service is a mixed bag. At the restaurant they were attentive. At the reception it was a disaster: could not indicate any trail around; they said it was not worth visiting old Dilijan (it was); the worst: front desk staff asked us to leave the premises after check out because the hotel was full (it was not). I will not return to this hotel.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely disappointing stay — beware of bugs and no A/C We had a really bad experience at Best Western Plus Paradise Hotel Dilijan. When we first walked into our room, there were already several large bugs inside because the cleaning staff had apparently left the door open. I’m terrified of bugs, so that already ruined the start of our stay. Then we found out the rooms don’t have air conditioning — they only turn it on during summer. No matter what buttons we pressed, only the heater worked. We accidentally made the room feel like a sauna, almost 100 degrees inside! When we came back from our outing, it was unbearably hot, and there were even more bugs on the walls. We asked to change rooms, but the staff said the hotel was full and couldn’t do anything except bring us a small fan. Later that night, we called again around 2 AM because we still couldn’t sleep — it was way too hot — and all they could offer was another fan. My sister got so upset that she ended up sitting in the cold lobby in the middle of the night because she couldn’t stay in that room anymore. Overall, it was an awful experience — between the bugs, the heat, and the unhelpful response from the staff, we would never stay here again.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff, breakfast was not the best. Wifi was good. One thing made our stay uncomfortable is the thin walls between rooms !!!!, you could hear other people as they were in yr room. We had next door bang on the wall because we had the tv on with normal volume!!! I will not stay there again for sure.

Shake down for cash

Receptionist told me my reservation was not in their system. Told me I could have a room if I paid in cash. As soon as I started making calls to other hotels, she found my reservation. My room was clean, but the bathroom ventilation wasn't working, the mattress felt like cardboard, the phone didn't work. Three times staff knocked at my door, because they couldn't call me, brought me complimentary tea, then cake, then a flip phone so the manager could speak with me, to apologize for the mix up at reception. I was trying to work, in between these visits. Then a loud party started in the next room . Walls were paper thin. I complained, and staff said they could move me. Why, I asked, could they not move the noisy neighbors or tell them to be quiet? They took my suggestion, and the neighbors (I suspect they were hotel staff, not guests) went away. Breakfast was served , starting from 8:30a.m. I had an 8a.m. meeting across town. They offered me a box lunch - bologna and cheese slices, 3 rolls w/ butter, cake and cookies. No coffee or tea. Entrance walkway was not entirely cleared of snow, taxis cannot drive up to drop off guests in front of the entrance.

Perfect place to stay with reasonal price.

The hotel is excellent! The room is spacious and cozy. Although it's a bit far from downtown. But taxi won't cost you much. Or else is a 70 minutes nice walk. I love hiking.
