"Our spa room was a little tired however it was immaculately cleaned daily and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Could not fault the wait staff at the bar and restaurant. Nothing was a problem."

"Food offerings were pretty standard, although the Teppanyaki was awesome. Pool was very good. Boat to the Erakor resort for Lunch/Dinner was very useful. Significant refurbishment from 8am to 5pm was annoying, made it difficult to relax on the verandah - due to drilling/grinding etc. Room was well located next to the lagoon, spacious and functional. Loved our 1st visit to Vanuatu, the close proximity of Erakor and Ramada hotels provided lots of eating/drinking options."

"Had the most perfect stay in paradise. Everything you want for a relaxed island getaway. Accomodation was perfect, staff very friendly and helpful and excellent meals at the restaurant. We used the kayaks every day and snorkeled at the small reef to the east of the island. All villas appear to have water frontage. Could not recommend more highly if you are after a low key and relaxing escape "

"The Melanesian is a long-standing feature of the Port Vila accommodation scene and it's very well-priced. The Orchid Rooms are very pleasant but they all face onto the pool area. So you will want to have the windows shut if the music played at the bar and people's conversations bother you. The AC unit in my room did an OK job with keeping the room comfortable even with windows shut. The rooms have a good desk and small table for people needing to do work while there. "Very clean and well organised. There is a pool and a bar/restaurant if you don't want to go out to eat. Very well located just a few minutes away from the city's centre and various supermakets. It might get a bit noisy in the evening because of the bar's evening specials, but it's not too bad"
