"The public rooms were in good condition but rather dated, reflecting the hotel's ostentatious history. The corridors and fire doors to the rooms were in poor condition, some damaged paint, wallpaper and carpet. The room was small and dated but clean with plenty of storage. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast offered a great choice. Whilst it is becoming increasingly common, as a hotel guest, I don't like paying extra to park my car."

"Adult only hotel .parking was ok .The room was clean but standard for the price . Had robes and slippers, bottle of water and tea making facilities. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very polite throughout the hotel Higher management in the bar should be more active if mistakes are made and not wait for a complaint to be made. "The room was small, but I did book a cosy double as only for one night. Bathroom was dated but clean. Main problem was that the room was incredibly noisy. It was overlooking the main road and also some kind of banging (heating unit?) continued throughout the night. It was ok."

"Comments below: pretty accurate.The hotel must be split into two, as many there seemed disadvantaged, but were respectful/welcoming. Our room was in the other wing. The rubbish outside does not appear to cause any concern to the proprietors. Inside the theme continues. Nevertheless, the gentleman who served us was very helpful. Carpet inside the room was minging, but the bed linen was spotless and the sink, shower and toilet were clean, although the whole of the loo seat came right off when...

"The staff at this hotel were so friendly and welcoming, and the hotel is in a fantastic location - just minutes from the beach and short walk to the town centre. The bus route allowed us to get to all attractions easily, and the hotel has a lovely park with mini golf next door. The pool is tad small at probably about 10-12 metres, and the Sian and steam room not that hot but still good to have the facilities.
