"I have been staying at the Harbour View Suites for many years, when I need to travel to Dar es Salaam. The staff is always incredibly gracious and helpful. Dar is a big and very busy city - and could feel a bit unsafe as a foreigner. However, this hotel occupies the 9th, 10th and 11th floors of a large building with ocean views. "We paid $160 for a family of 4. The room was okay and breakfast was good. But the hotel turned off the hot water in the morning for some reason and even after asking them to turn it back on, the water was ice cold and we were never able to take a hot shower."
