"This property is somewhat out of the old west. The room was tiny but adequate. The bathroom was some 40 feet down the hall - which makes mid-night runs a drag. The shower was likewise down the hall. However both rooms were, while small, were very clean and serviceable. I thought sure I was the only person in the building it is so quiet. I was amazed when I realized in fact I had numerous other visitors. REgistration was done at another hotel a block away, but my thanks go out to the polite...

"I stayed at the Avon for three nights during a multi-week ADV motorcycle trip through the Southwest and Colorado. Unfortunately, the weather in the San Juan Mountains had other plans for us, and we got thoroughly washed out. That made me even happier to have the Avon as my home base in Silverton. The location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of town. There is a large kitchen available for guests, a spacious second-floor patio, and even a hiker box where hikers can take whatever they...

"We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to return again."

"Nice property very clean and reasonably priced no need to check in they send you a door code for your room"

"Very clean room and good location."

"The room was clean, but very small. The bed was only a full size, and it seemed to be a rather old mattress. There wasn't a blanket on the bed, just one on a shelf. The small refrigerator was on the floor in the corner with the microwace on top of it. There wasn't room to put our luggage anywhere convenient so we stacked it on a desk in the room."

"If you like noise when you sleep, stay at that hotel."

"Great experience!"

"Room was clean and tidy. I had to go a block down the street to pick up the key which was taped to the outside door. A little confusing but got it figured out. No chair in the room. Tv remote didn't work. A smoke alarm in another room kept beeping all night due to low battery, fortunately I had ear plugs. All in all, I got a good nights rest, a shower and the in-room coffee."

"Very unique property. They made us feel like family."

"We loved everything about the stay! The owners were super super friendly and helpful. The cabin and grounds were clean. We killed a few spiders, one being a black widow. Spiders are expected everywhere. Just something for owners ro be aware of. We loved the fire pit, swings, games, grill access. Al around we give this place 5 stars!"

"Great stay, beautiful detached private house with no stairs on one level. Grand views of lake, trees, and mountains. Private and very quiet. Nice host who, on request, oriented us to the place and local attractions. Spacious and comfortable. Appliances like new: Full fridge, range/oven with over the range microwave, large high efficiency washer & dryer. Large closet. New walk-in shower with good pressure. All wood floors and cabinets. Notice the lovely painting in the bathroom by the host....

"Books through secondary booking agency (Evolve). They do their own screenings to decide if you meet their standards for booking. Having the money to book, having good credit, and never having any issues with any previous accommodations doesn't matter."
