"The property is quite big & well maintained by staff. Staff were very friendly but many didn’t speak English so relied on translation apps. The buffet served a lot of local foods which was great although would have enjoyed more variety night after night. There was often some type of pool exercise or entertainment in the day and evenings.
The property is 1.5 hours from Samana airport and transportation from the airport is not provided by the hotel. It’s a big resort, great for long evening beach is beautiful, tons of chairs.
However, it’s not great for people with mobility issues. There’s no path all the way to the beach (only to the restaurants); you have to walk across a grassy field to get a beach chair. It would help if there was an accessible path.
I’d recommend this hotel to able bodied people for sure, great staff, food, rooms, and beach!!"
